Quantico Star Priyanka Chopra was in Zim, and We Missed it

Nobody bothered to send us a callback and just like that we missed the beautiful ‘Alex Parrish’

Priyanka Chopra is one of the most beautiful women in the world right now and for anyone who is hooked up on the American Police Drama Quantico, you would agree that she is a special kind of dream woman.

In the drama, she stars as Alex Parrish a top recruit at Quantico and the top suspect in the bombing of Grand Central. Since the moment she discovered her father had been an FBI agent, Alex dreamt of going to Quantico to discover the secrets he kept from her.

In the drama, she stars alongside South African actress Pearl Thusi who plays Dayana Mampasi an accomplished human rights lawyer who came to America from Zimbabwe as a teenager.

The whole of this week we have been kicking ourselves wondering how in the maheu did we miss her visit, we know we may not have had too much of a shot buI’m sure we at least could have had a feel at her amazing hair.

Priyanka 34, an Indian actress and the winner of the Miss World 2000 visited Zimbabwe as part of her role as UNICEF  goodwill ambassador where she took time to visit kids in Zimbabwe as she promoted ending violence against children.

The actress documented her visit to Zimbabwe with Unicef on her Instagram page, since last Thursday when she landed in Harare.

She even had a taste of our dzimbe (sugarcane) from Epworth.  See below.

She wrote about her experience:

“Sarah Sithole or Mbuya(granny) is just 58 years old. Thomas 14 (green) wants to grow up and be a driver and Luckmore 17 (stripes) wants to be a mechanic.

“Mbuya’s daughter left her sons (from teenage pregnancies) in her care because she got married and her husband did not want these kids.

“Mbuya sells vegetables to send them to school and survive. She was cooking sweet potatoes for lunch and shared them with me.. she hopes her grandsons will look after her in her old age because she has raised 5 children and 7 grandchildren.. and still has backbreaking work to do every day just to survive.

“Thank you for sharing your home and story with me..”  @unicef#EndViolence #zimbabwe

On another picture, in which she chose to protect the identity of the girl she passionately wrote:

“We cannot keep ignoring what is happening to our children around the world. My experience in Zimbabwe is a huge example of how the world is so desensitized to the plight of women and children.

“Mindsets need to change. It is not her fault!! She is not a commodity. Protect our children…they are the Future.” @unicef#EndViolence

After her Zimbabwe visit, she proceeded to South Africa on a similar mission.

With Quantico not likely to go to Season 3, The India-born actress has landed a new role in the Baywatch movie adaptation out this month as Victoria Leeds, alongside Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson.
