Jah Prayzah’s Band Member Fatima Releases New Single

Her vocals are dominating and her smile is charming and it is hard to imagine Jah Prayzah’s 3rd Generation Band without Famita Katiji.

At work we know her as Stimela and hers has been a talent that has remained in the shadows for far too long.

On Tuesday she dropped suprised many by dropping her solo projected in the form a of a single titlted Gara Ndichauya.

And no, this does not mean that she is leaving her backing vocalist job in the band, she is still part of the vision and has the full support of her boss Jah Prayzah.

Information on the Youtube Channel clearly shows that Gara Ndichauya has the full backing of JP and in fact could be part of the big picture for Military Touch Movement
(MTM).

The song itself was produced by MTM man Rodney Beatz and was recorded at JP Studios with distribution by Military Touch Movement. The cover photography was done by Jah Prayzah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze.

And Jah tweeted his feelings about the song

Now that we have cleared that part, let’s talk about the song.

The song discusses a sitiuation which a men had guaranteed his better half that he would wed her and they would get the chance to raise their family together.

But the man vanishes and abandons her clinging to the guarantee yet he never returns to satisfy his guarantee.

In the song Fatima proves to be a possessor of superior songwriting skills and as she lays her melodies with gently calming effect.

Its difficult to listen to the song and not think about Chiwoniso as Fatima navigates her lyrics on the mbira instrument blended with Brian Tsiga’s signature guitar.

Brian Tsiga is also a member of the 3rd Generation band and the chemistry is evident through out the 5 minute long song.

Word has it that Fatima has a few other songs in her quiver and she might drop an album sooner than we think.

Enjoy Gara Ndichauya and tell us what you think
