Zimbabwe marches on in RWC 23 qualifiers

Zimbabwe dismissed Ivory Coast in a 38-11 victory in a Rugby Africa world cup qualifier match played in Marseille, France Saturday night.

The Zimbabwe Sables booked a place into the semi finals of the tournament where they will meet Namibia in the next match to be played on Wednesday, July 6.

Matthew McNab scored the first try of the match before Shayne Makombe scored one in each half.

The other tries came from Aiden Burnett with virtually his first touch of the game and Matthew Mandioma capped it off when he went over the line towards the end of the game.

There were, however, concerns on the kicking and this has to be addressed as the nation moves on in the tournament.

Zimbabwe has been given a double boost going in the Namibia game with a rank upgrade and the win against Ivory Coast.
