Yadah And Dynamos Battle To A Goalless Draw in Intense Showdown

In an intense yet exciting showdown, Yadah FC and Dynamos faced off in a highly anticipated Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 3 at Rufaro Stadium, which ended in a well-deserved draw.

Dynamos were the first to settle on the traditional ground they are familiar with and in the 5th minute, they hit the back of the net, but the goal was ruled offside.

Dembare captain Emmanuel Jalai was causing some headaches for the Yadah defence with his overlaps, combining well with Keith Madera on the right flank, something they enjoyed for the greater part of the first half.

The 38th minute provided the game with its first clear-cut chance after Khama Billiat rose high to connect a header that hit the woodwork.

Dembare, quickened by the scare, within 2 minutes, Donald Mudadi hit a shot that went off target.

The match became a ding-dong affair with both teams enjoying possession of the ball.

In the 42nd minute, Jalai received the first yellow card of the match for remonstrating against the referee for awarding Yadah a free kick.

With the match approaching halftime, Khama Billiat attempted a bicycle kick that hit the head of a defender inside the box.

In the second half, Dynamos Coach Genesis Mangombe introduced a double substitution, taking off Alexander Mandinyenya and Keith Madera for new signing Sadney Uri-Khob and Elton Chikona.

For a brief moment, Dynamos continued where they left off, piling pressure on Yadah before their plan seemingly faltered as the substitutions failed to add anything to the game.

Around the 80th minute, Dembare almost had an own goal from a Yadah corner kick, but the ball was cleared off the line.

The star quality of Khama Billiat showed again as he connected a header from the right flank, but it was punched over the bar by Martin Mapisa.

The referee blew the final whistle after only adding 2 minutes of additional time for a goalless draw.

In other matches, Highlanders are now on 7 points together with leaders FC Platinum after defeating Simba Bhora 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium.

In Hwange, Bulawayo Chiefs defeated Chipangano by 2 goals to nil.
