Aura Group launched their official partnership with Starlink as one of the official resellers in Zimbabwe at a colourful event held at Sabre Business World in Harare, on Wednesday.
The event was attended by highly esteemed guests, including the Honourable Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Vangelis Haritatos.
The guest of honour was the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Honourable Tatenda Mavetera.
Other well-renowned businesspeople and members of the media were also present.
Aura Group’s Founder and CEO, Samuelle Dimairho, highlighted that the coming of Starlink ushers in a new era, especially in fields like agriculture, where farmers can now monitor their crops or livestock remotely as they will be connected to the internet and can implement smart farming.
“The introduction of Starlink will ensure that even the most remote areas in Zimbabwe are connected to the internet,” he said.
As the official reseller, Aura Group is offering the Starlink standard kit, which will retail for $420, including VAT (Value Added Tax), primarily suited for large organisations and enterprises.
They are also offering a high-performance kit, retailing at $2,999.
Monthly subscription packages include:
– 40GB of priority data + standard unlimited for $120
– 1TB of priority data + standard unlimited for $175
– 2TB of priority data + standard unlimited for $340
Additionally, priority data can be purchased on a per-GB basis.
Aura Group will provide support services for all kits purchased through them in case of downtime or technical issues.
Aura Group’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Sarudzai Muwanga, conducted a demonstration where attendees experienced internet speeds as high as 200Mbps.
In the spirit of inclusivity and not leaving anyone behind in the digital world, Aura Group donated various kits with 3 months of subscription to several institutions, including:
