Pro Elite Rugby Academy’s U11/Colts side has travelled to Zambia, in Chisamba, to defend their Martin House 10s title, which they won in 2025.
The tournament will also feature two other Zimbabwean teams: Hillcrest Preparatory School from Mutare and Wise Owl from Westgate, Harare.
Zimbuzz Sports caught up with head coach Promise Chinyunyu ahead of the tournament.
“It’s a great feeling to be returning to Zambia to participate in this prestigious tournament. One of the biggest positives going into this year’s edition is that we have managed to retain eight players from last year’s gold-winning squad.
“These boys will bring much-needed leadership and experience, as they already understand the conditions and the tournament structure,” he said.
“We also have seven new players who will be making their debut at this tournament, so it’s a good mix of experience and new blood.”
Chinyunyu added that preparations focused on the fundamentals.
“We worked on the basics ahead of the tournament rucking, tackling and fitness. We are definitely aiming for gold again,” he said.
