Ireland levelled the three-match series 1-1 with an impressive 6-wicket win over Zimbabwe at Harare sports club.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first on a flat wicket. A decision which paid handsomely.
Zimbabwe started their innings on a bad note losing opening batsman Tadiwanashe Marumani for 2 runs in the first over, leaving the host at 6-1.
Innocent Kaia and Craig Ervine managed to stabilise the ship with a partnership of 48 runs, Ireland finally got the breakthrough, running out Kaia for 25 runs.
The chevrons kept on losing wickets at regular intervals losing Wesley Madhevere for 1 run while Sean Williams was trapped for an lbw with just 19 runs on the board off the bowling of Harry Tector.
Ervine top scored with 42 runs of 39 runs as Zimbabwe was eventually bowled out for 144 runs in the final ball of the 20th over.
Graham Hume was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets for 17 runs in his allotted 4 overs.
The Irish chased 144 with some solid batting, Ross Adair starring with the bat scoring 65 runs, while skipper Andy Balbirnie chipped in 33 runs and Harry Tector with 26 runs.
