Mukanya has Landed in Zimbabwe after 14 years

Thomas Mapfumo has landed in Zimbabwe Sunday night ending more than 14 years away from the country that gave birth to the legend.

For the past 10 years, reports that the legendary Chimurenga music king Thomas Mukanya Mapfumo was to stage a show in Zimbabwe were always awash.

The ‘myth of Mukanya’s homecoming became a dream deferred. However, while some people have hopes and dreams, Entertainment Republic has made the dream come true!

It was a double delight for the country as it witnessed the celebration of its 38th Independence under a new administration as well as welcoming their beloved son Chimurenga Guru.

Exactly 10 days after his landing, Mukanya will host Zimbabwe’s biggest show at the Glamis Stadium on April 28.

The country will witness a best of all worlds as the superstar and close friend Oliver Mtukudzi will perform at the Bira with the legendary Black Spirits, and also to perform is, the newly crowned Gombwe Winky D, son of a legend Sulumani Chimbetu and Gary Tight among others.

Most cheap tickets have been sold out and the last phase of tickets is now being sold, but organisers have emphasized that no tickets will be sold at the venue.
