The Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) has announced that the festival won’t be running until 2017.
The announcement was made today at a press conference held at Royal Harare Golf Club, the organisers said that they will be building towards the next edition in 2017 with exciting programs geared for the next 18 months.
Said founder Manuel Bagorro: “We are restructuring our mindset but we are not changing much as our core values still remain the same so is our sense of exctiment.
“To sustain the brand for the next 18 months we have come up with 5 elements.”
According to Bagorro the five elements are HIFA Present, which will be basically responsible for putting together inspiring shows throughout the year till the xnet edition.
HIFA Events will be responsible for producing events, be it parties or brand launches.
The most exciting one is HIFA Play which will be a fusion of arts and sports.
The other elements include HIFAMIGOS and HIFA Engage.
So to put it simply HIFA isn’t going anywhere but will be running a series of events spread throughout the year as opposed to the just six days we were accustomed to.
This they decide to call HIFA, Next Level
