So you know the old adage “Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it ?” well, a couple of weeks ago we put a Mukoko Video in our 2016 Video Basket and at 1200am last night/This morning we got what we wished for and More !! Spoiler Alert please do NOT read if You HAVE NOT WATCHED THE Video
Set in Mbare it’s your typical ghetto love story of Musikana wepaTuckshop neMuface wepamaraini who convinces everyone that Mukoko waAmmara Got some magical Love properties and they start selling like Hot Property ( We shall not delve into the metaphorical meaning of Ammara selling sweet honey and Tytan pimping her promoting it and men lining up).
Ammara and Tytan fully embrace their roles and we have a cameo from Tino Katsande as the nosy neighbor who we guess was jealous of Mukoko waAmmara maybe cause her Tomato business was going down due to Ammara #SpeculationHerePeople.
It was great seeing Tin Tin we had missed you a lot and we hope this means you are somehow back in our lives for Good on our silver screens (Subject to availability of Zesa Of course) .
The Dance choreography was ON POINT, I mean forget what they presented at the ZIMAs, the video is on fire there is A High Kick from Ammara at some point , then there was the Side twerk when Tytan is air drumming Ammara’s derrière , the dancers are on point which speaks volume of the skills and talent of the award-winning choreographer Mr. John Cole .
His Twitter TL is now dominated with #DancewithJohnCole and hints of a Dance tour ….We are definitely looking forward to that. #SideNote We LOVED the part when Mawoko were Given By Mr. Cole to the Lady who took the arena to show us Youngies how it is done .
The fashionista Ammara is really the queen of Afro-pop in Zim, and she has constantly amazed us with her afro-centric style, Both on stage and off it. The yellow and brown (Honeycomb colours) perfectly blend with the theme of the song and Tytan did change his trademark shirt (Hallelujah).
The rest of the Cast seamlessly fit into the selected Set and it was a Good Day.
At the time of press, the Video was on a Cool 17k Facebook VIEWS , which should be some sort of record for a Song that went up at Midnight , highlighting just how Popular and Lovable this Hit Song Is.
Social media has embraced the Song with hashtag #Mukoko everywhere and high profile Celebrities like Carl Joshua Ncube and CST ( What does he do and who is he , more next time) giving Tytan and Ammara a Thumbs up .
Of course, they are always a few bees in Pure honey , with certain fashion “stars” allegedly throwing subliminal shots at the Video just mere 2hrs after the Video was dropped but to ascertain their irrelevance in this particular matter let’s not mention names.
As Taylor Swift once wisely Said , Haters gonna Hate , hate , hate but we just gonna Mukoko Shake shake shake ALLL DAY .
