Nyasha David delivers An Emotional Video for Moyo Muti

The music video opens with a title card which reads “We Are Most Alive When We Are in Love” and what follows is a simple artistic depiction of the powerful emotion we got to know as love.

A couple featured in Moyo Muti

A few seconds later we get a flash of a woman in her advanced age showing her marriage ring which she is squeezing softly as if she is pondering on the first day she wore it.

That first image then shapes the entire story of the video before we are introduced to a lady playing the piano with such melodic keys that makes one glued to the video.

The face of the woman with the ring lifts up with a smile of someone who was in a deep flashback of memory, Nyasha David then starts to sing “Once Upon Love….” (Paivepo Rudo).

He continues: “It was the kinda of love which needed not to prove itself, it was too evident to miss.

In ‘Moyo Muti’ Nyasha David shows off his vocal prowess with a carefully written and structured song which simply talks about the power of love.

Simple, yet very vibrant is the video as it depicts love as a common denominator between races, this he shows by featuring couples of multiple races.

The singer reserved himself to a single position throughout the video, allowing the images to do the storytelling while he serenades the listener with his singing.

The chemistry between all the couples featured in the video is so real that one cannot be faltered for thinking they used real lovebirds, the intimate setting of the shots and the realistic depiction of love makes the story all relatable.

A beautiful song deserves an equally beautiful video and that’s just what you get in Moyo Muti. We also saw appearances from fellow musician Noreen Chido Dhlamini at the end of the video as well as NAMA Award-winning actress Charlene Mangweni who plays the violin in the video.

Could this be Nyasha David’s breakout song, well it might be. The way he expresses himself tells of a young man who is ready to be the next King of RnB.
