Following the success of the 2017 Edition of Coke Studio Africa, The Coca-Cola Company has commenced the production of the show’s new season that will air on TV across Africa, starting in February 2019.
In the new season dubbed ‘Coke Studio Africa 2019’, our very own Winky D will be featured on the non-competitive music collaboration show paired with Messias from Mozambique – produced by Nigerian producer GospelOnDeBeat.
Winky D becomes the second Zimbabwean musician to feature on Coke Studio Africa on the upcoming new season dubbed ‘Coke Studio Africa 2019’ which promises to be a melting pot of Africa’s musical talents.
Jah Prayzah was featured on the previous season dubbed ‘Coke Studio Africa 2017’. Other Zimbabwean participants including Oliver Mtukudzi, Ammara Brown, South African-based Buffalo Souljah featured on Coke Studio ZA before.
Other artists featuring in the new season are celebrated Tanzanian music producer, Lizer, “2 in 1” hitmaker Naiboi (Kenya), Mahlet (Ethiopia), Messias (Mozambique) and Alvin Kizz (Uganda).
Returning on the show are continental stars: hip-hop heavyweight Khaligraph Jones (Kenya) and BET award-winner Rayvanny (Tanzania) back for a second time.

Official partners for Coke Studio Africa 2019 include PACE Africa, Yallo and Home 254.
With Pace Africa, the artists will experience high-quality music through Coke Studio branded headphones provided by Pace. Other branded Coke Studio merchandise will be made from fashion company Home 254 and Yallo—who make sustainable, leather bags.
The selected artists will spend the forthcoming weeks at the recording studios of Coke Studio Africa in Nairobi, Kenya creating music that will connect people across the continent proud.
They will be paired alongside Coke Studio Africa Super producers, who will produce the show’s musical fusions like Covers, Throwbacks and Original Compositions.
