EAGLES Cricket franchise has announced Décor Builders Warehouse (DBW) as their 2022/33 domestic cricket kit sponsor at the Chairman’s Enclosure Tuesday at Harare Sports Club.
The season-long sponsorship deal is valued at Ten Thousand United States Dollars ($10,000) and will see the construction supplies giant partnering with the reigning Zimbabwe Cricket Twenty20 Champions for both the senior men and women teams.
A deal of this magnitude is expected to further fortify the Harare Province Franchise as the leading team in the Zimbabwe Cricket’s premier domestic competitions.
Eagles Cricket General Manager Wonder Chisango said: “The Eagles have a heritage and legacy of great results in Zimbabwe and the 2021 season was one of those great moments where both the Men’s and Women’s senior teams brought silverware in the T20s.”
“This year we are proud to wear the DBW on our shirts as we work on getting more championships this year. This new pact we have formed with DBW will see both teams under the Eagles franchise getting a much-needed boost.”
Zimbabwe Cricket’s 2022/23 First Class competition, The Logan Cup started on the 24th of November and the Eagles’ senior men’s side were victorious with a 101-run victory over Masvingo-based Southern Rocks at Old Hararians Sports Club.
“Prior to this announcement, the Eagles had already shown us why they are the best cricket team in Zimbabwe and it is with great pleasure that we are now the official shirt sponsors for their men’s team.”
“Cricket is the second largest sport in Zimbabwe and it is an honour to be part of it in any way, as a business in construction, we truly believe in their work processes that will yield results in growing their flagship teams, development sides and the Eagles community,” said DBW Marketing and Business Development Officer
The Eagles’ first-class team will dawn their DBW-branded jerseys in their second Logan Cup match against the Mid-West Rhinos from Kwekwe at the Harare Sports Club Thursday the 1st of December 2022 at 10:00 hrs.
