“BACK HOME” is the brand new track by British-Ghanaian entrepreneur and music maker – ADO, which goes live across all DSP’s today.
A love letter to his ancestral land, “Home” is his first official single of 2023, inspired by his move to Ghana. This, combined with frequent trips to South Africa, where he has solidified and nurtured his love for Afro House music.
A genre that takes deep influences from the instruments played in the townships of South Africa and continues to influence and inspire popular culture as it is today. With Ghana’s 66th independence day approaching, this record is his intentional way of marking the occasion.

Championing his Ghanaian roots, his love for Afro House and British South London upbringing, ADO, aka William Adoasi, adds his own influential sound to the Afro – House genre.
Inspired by South African Afro House legend: Black Coffee, ADO’s previous works can be seen in his last single “Get Away”, which has seen over 1M streams in Spotify alone and features UK songbird Shae Universe.
The visuals serve as an ode to Blockbuster hit movie “Queen and Slim”, which explores the beauty in trials and tribulations, survival of the fittest and Black Love. WATCH HERE!
With this new record, his smooth and silky tonality holds “Back Home” together against a backdrop of this spiritual production.
The pulsating beats, soul-searching harmonies and the build-up of strings is what makes this record special. Produced by ADO alongside Ghanaian producer Afrolektra who has produced for the likes of R2bees and Sarkodie, “Back Home” is ADO’s take on what Afro House means to him.
ADO says “Moving back to Ghana has been a long-term goal of mine. Nothing beats home and this record is my personal way of paying homage.
Afro-house is special. My frequent trips to South Africa – specifically Durban has been life changing. From the DJ’ing, the culture and the music is something from out of this world.
My sound is also my way of paying homage to this scene. I’m literally a ‘Son of the soil’. I hope you love this record as much as I do.”
Aside from music, ADO is also TEDx speaker, philanthropist, fashion designer, Founder and CEO of innovative watch brand, Vitae London.
Each timepiece purchased through their classic ranges of watches see a child through school for the year. This initiative that started in South Africa and has now spread across to Zimbabwe, Ghana, Uganda and Nigeria.
As we approach the end of the 1st quarter of 2023, ADO intends to finish strong. Visuals for “Back Home” were shot in Ghana and are set to be released on March 6th, their Independence Day.
