Lesotho sink Zimbabwe in World Cup qualifiers

Zimbabwe remains without a win in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after a 2-0 defeat to Lesotho at Orlando Stadium.


Rethabile Rasethuntsa opened the scoring for Lesotho midway into the first stanza and Jane Thaba Ntso quickly doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark.

Likuena picked up their first victory and remained unbeaten after three matches.

The Warriors plunged to the bottom of the group following the defeat and remain winless after three matches.

Lesotho, meanwhile, find themselves top of the standings after three matches played ahead of their clash against Rwanda on Tuesday.

Rwanda, Benin and South Africa all sit on four points, while Nigeria are on fifth spot still looking for their first win.
