Dzimbawe Nengoma from Bindura will represent Mashonaland West Province at the Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival National Finals.
The group, which specialises in the Chinyambera dance, was the toast of the judges at Club 75 in Guruve, walking away with a ticket to the finals and a $2,500 cash prize.
Chinyakare Arts (Dinhe) from Guruve came second, while Shamva Benari (Beni) from Shamva came third, walking away with $1,500 and $1,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, in Masvingo Province, Gango impressed the judges with their well-choreographed Mbakumba dance to emerge as the provincial winners.
Gango beat 10 other groups, including Dzimbadzemabwe, which came second, and Musa, which finished third.
Gango earns the sole right to represent the province in the national finals, which will take place later this year.
