In what promises to be a spectacular prelude to Zimbabwe’s festive season, Gateway Stream Media is set to host “The Shutdown” at the newly renovated Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on November 30, 2024.
The event, featuring an all-star lineup headlined by music powerhouse Jah Prayzah, is positioned to kick-start the December celebrations in grand style.
The musical extravaganza brings together some of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated artists, including Freeman HKD, Feli Nandi, Master H, Killer T, and Tocky Vibes, all of whom have dominated charts throughout the year.
“We considered the artists on the line-up because they are currently trending with hit songs and currently the music fans’ favourites,” explains Gateway Stream Media manager Elton Kurima.
“We also chose to put the event end of November to build the festive celebration culture.”
The event’s timing is strategic, designed to usher in the festive mood.
“We opted to put the event at the end of November as a build-up to the festive season mood. Fans should look forward to an evening full of unforgettable performances, an experience like no other,” Kurima added.
Adding to the excitement is the venue itself. The HICC has undergone a significant transformation, boasting a modern aesthetic that enhances the overall experience of the show.
The refurbishment includes new carpeting and modern seating equipped with comprehensive charging solutions, including 3-pin, C-type, and USB ports, to ensure comfort and convenience.
One of the evening’s most anticipated performances will come from Master H, who has been making waves in the industry.
Born Hillary Marufu, the artist has already proven his mettle sharing stages with industry giants like Jah Prayzah and Winky D at the Redefined Show in June.
His management team confirms their readiness: “We are looking forward to this event, we are rehearsing and fans should expect a top-notch musical experience.”
The headline act, Jah Prayzah, known for his commanding stage presence is expected to deliver his signature high-energy performance.
Alongside him, Freeman HKD’s distinctive voice, Feli Nandi’s soulful delivery, Killer T’s dancehall mastery, and Tocky Vibes’ unique style promise a diverse musical experience.
Preparations for the event are well underway, with Kurima confirming: “We are on track with our planning process, all the service providers are in place and everyone is ready to make this night a success.”
Tickets are now available at the Rainbow Towers Hotel, New Ambassador Hotel, all Medorange and Booties Pharmacies in Harare for $15 standard and $40 VIP tickets. You can also buy online at www.gatewaystream.com/event-tickets
