Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced it will host Ireland for a highly anticipated full tour in February, featuring a mix of Test and limited-overs cricket.
The two sides will first lock horns in a Test match at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from 6 to 10 February, marking a significant chapter in Zimbabwe’s ongoing commitment to the longer format of the game.
The action will then move to Harare Sports Club in the capital for the white-ball segment of the tour, starting with three ODIs set for 14, 16 and 18 February, followed by as many T20Is on 22, 23 and 25 February.
The matches are expected to draw enthusiastic crowds as both teams vie for important rankings points and bragging rights.
ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni emphasised the significance of hosting back-to-back full tours, especially with the recent home series against Afghanistan serving as a boost for the national side.
“We are delighted to welcome Ireland for what promises to be an exciting and competitive tour,” he said.
“Hosting two full tours in quick succession is a testament to our commitment to providing our players with regular international cricket and to our efforts in growing the game in Zimbabwe.”
Ticket details and broadcasting information will be announced in due course.
