Gateway Stream Media, in collaboration with ZAR Events, is gearing up to host one of the most anticipated music events of the year Nubian Notes: A Celebration of Women in Music on November 8, 2025, at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Billed as “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound,” the concert will feature an all-female lineup of Zimbabwe’s most prominent artists, including Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts.
Each performer will bring her distinct sound, from Afro-soul to dancehall and pop, creating a vibrant celebration of artistry and empowerment.
According to Gateway Stream Media Manager, Elton Kurima, Nubian Notes is more than an entertainment event it’s a cultural movement.
“This is about championing and elevating women in music, offering a stage where their creativity and cultural influence are fully recognized,” he said. “We want to create a space that honors the depth of female talent shaping today’s soundscape.”
Kurima added that the concert aims to redefine how female musicians are viewed in the industry, highlighting not only their performances but also their role as leaders and innovators in music. “Nubian Notes is a statement of empowerment and recognition,” he said.
“We’re celebrating the women who continue to inspire, challenge, and transform our creative landscape.”
