Dynamos continued their strong start to the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season with a narrow 1–0 victory over MWOS at Rufaro Stadium on Thursday, extending their unbeaten run to five matches.
The match began cautiously, with both teams struggling to create clear chances in the opening stages.
Dynamos midfielder Kasondo came close early on with a free kick that was deflected, and he later tried his luck again in the 31st minute with a long-range effort that was comfortably punched away by the MWOS goalkeeper.
MWOS offered little attacking threat throughout the match despite several substitutions by coach Lloyd Mutasa, and the game appeared headed for a draw until Dynamos increased the pressure in the second half.
Their persistence paid off in the 73rd minute when Dynamos were awarded a penalty. Dead-ball specialist Kasondo stepped up and converted from the spot to score the only goal of the match and secure all three points for the Harare giants.
Elsewhere, CAPS United suffered their first defeat of the season after losing 1–0 to Ngezi Platinum Stars in Mhondoro.
The result marked a disappointing return for CAPS United coach Takesure Chiragwi against his former club and ended CAPS United’s perfect start to the campaign after four consecutive wins.
In Gweru, defending champions Scottland FC were pushed hard by TelOne FC before securing a 3–2 victory.
Walter Musona scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute to seal the win in a closely contested match.
Meanwhile, Hardrock FC produced one of the biggest wins of the round after defeating Herentals FC 4–1 in a dominant performance.
