Gospel outfit Pilgrims of Christ from Mashonaland East and Music 2 Music from Bulawayo Province have made it to this year’s highly anticipated Chibuku Road to Fame finals!
These two provinces are the latest to crown their representatives, joining four other provinces that have already secured their spots in the competition.
In Bulawayo, the excitement unfolded at koNjabulo Elangeni Beerhall, where Amani Pulse, an Afro-fusion group from Mzilikazi, and Tawedzegwa, a vibrant sungura group from Bulawayo Central, took home second and third places, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mashonaland East held its competition at The Place in Chivhu, with Jungle Foxes, a lively sungura band from Hwedza District, and V27 Express, an energetic Afro-fusion group from Murehwa District, achieving second and third positions, respectively.
Provincial winners in this year’s Chibuku Road to Fame are in for a treat, with the first-place winner receiving US$2,500, while the second and third-placed groups will walk away with US$1,500 and US$1,000 respectively.
The competition continues this Saturday, 19 October, in Matabeleland North in Hwange and in Manicaland in Mutare.
