On Saturday, 28 March 2026, the Magitare Evening of the Arts returns to the iconic REPS Theatre for a dual-show celebration of female creativity and mastery.
The production brings together three of Zimbabwe’s most compelling artistic forces: the soulful strings and storytelling of Tariro neGitare, the world-renowned a cappella harmonies of Nobuntu, and the multidisciplinary brilliance of Lady Tshawe in a theatre production.
Magitare has long been a sanctuary for acoustic music and artistic collaboration. This upcoming edition specifically honors the “woman in the creative space,” showcasing the depth, resilience, and innovation female artists bring to the stage.
This event marks the inaugural Magitare Evening of the Arts, which will now become an annual showcase every March.
Positioned after Creative Economy Week and following International Women’s Day, it serves as the definitive platform to round up Women’s Month.
“We need to create our own spaces as women and showcase the excellence that is already
apparent,” says the Magitare team. “This isn’t just a concert; it’s a statement of our contribution to the creative economy and a celebration of the spaces we are building for ourselves.”
