WestProp invites Public to Join its Journey of a Billion Bricks with Historic Listing on Victoria Falls Stock Exchange

WestProp Holdings Ltd has announced that it will be listing on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, marking a historic moment for the company as it transitions from being a private company to a publicly listed one.

Addressing a media conference in Harare yesterday CEO Kenneth Sharpe, highlighted the significance of this move, stating that it is a defining moment in the company’s history and the pinnacle of its achievements thus far.

Sharpe went on to encourage members of the public, pension funds, and investors to invest by buying shares in WestProp Holdings Ltd and join the company in its journey of a billion bricks.

This journey is a part of the company’s vision to pioneer world-class, vertically integrated, premium lifestyle communities in Zimbabwe, using technology and innovation to deliver a trusted customer-centric ecosystem to live, work, shop, and play.

The company has targeted one billion bricks to achieve this vision, and projections show that it will take US$5 billion to complete the various projects that have been designed.

“It is not a coincidence that we have targeted one billion bricks, in fact if you look at our projected construction for the projects we have designed, it will take one billion bricks and US$5 billion to complete them,” said Sharpe.

Every day we are putting bricks into the ground working towards the vision where we know that within the next 27 years we will have laid one billion bricks.”

Sharpe emphasized that the company has already made significant progress in laying bricks, with over five million already laid and over 55 million committed bricks from existing sales.

One of the benefits of investing in WestProp Holdings Ltd is the opportunity to own a home and inheritance for one’s spouse and offspring.

Sharpe highlighted that the company’s property portfolio is not just about buying a built structure, but also a certain lifestyle.

This is because the company creates and delivers an affordable lifestyle of luxury for people to live in comfort, style, and safety, with social amenities such as shopping malls, sporting facilities, creches, churches, and many other recreational facilities in a safe, 24-hour secure gated community.

“An investment in our company and property portfolio ensures you can own a home and inheritance for your spouse and offspring,” he said.

“A house can be used as collateral when you want to do other investments. The difference with our property portfolio and projects is that when you buy in you are investing into a lifestyle community which means when you decide to sell you are not only selling the built structure but also a certain lifestyle.”

Investing in WestProp Holdings Ltd also ensures a safe and secure investment, as Sharpe noted that the company does not deduct any costs for holding an investor’s value on their behalf, and investors are guaranteed that their investment is safe with the company.

Finally, Sharpe highlighted that investing in WestProp Holdings Ltd is also about building Zimbabwe together.

Millennium Heights

The company believes that by joining hands with the public, it can make a significant impact on the country by building it brick by brick.

By investing in the company, investors are joining hands in owning the assets that the company owns, such as the Mall of Zimbabwe, Millenium Heights, and Office Park, the Hills Golf Estate, and Pomona City.

Sharpe announced the offering of 1 million ordinary shares by WestProp Holdings at $10 each

“I announce the offering today of 1milion ordinary shares at $10 each and 5.4million preferential redeemable convertible shares at $5 each,” he revealed.

“The preferential shares allow investors a period of 5 years to decide to become ordinary shareholders during which time they will benefit from a minimum guaranteed return of 7.5 percent per year as well as dividends from the company’s profits.

“This is likely to result in excess of 10 percent per year being paid out which is an amount that no other listed company or bank in Zimbabwe is currently offering investors.”

Zimbabwe clinch series after thumping Netherlands in decider

Gary Ballance and Wessly Madhevere both scored fifties while Sean Williams turned in an invaluable all-round performance as Zimbabwe cruised to a dominant seven-wicket victory over the Netherlands to secure the three-match one-day international series in front of a capacity crowd at Harare Sports Club on Saturday.

The tourists won the toss again but this time decided to bat first.

Their opening pair of Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd gave the Netherlands an early advantage, as they put on 67 for the first wicket.

They were however out in quick succession, both batting catches to mid-off, for 27 and 38 respectively – 69 for two in the 17th over.

There followed another good partnership of 60 between Musa Ahmed and Colin Ackerman, and the score at one stage was 129 for two wickets.

Madhevere broke the stand by bowling out Ahmed for 29, while Williams took a good low diving return catch to remove Wesley Barresi for two – 132 for four in the 31st over.

Williams also struck a major blow by bowling Ackermann for 37 off 55 balls, which proved to be the longest and highest innings by the tourists, to reduce them to 147 for five in the 35th over.

After that the Netherlands struggled to increase their scoring rate as they wanted to against tight bowling, with the century-maker of the first match, Teja Nidamanuru, being restricted to 18 off 30 balls before Sikandar Raza produced a fine ball to bowl him as he tried a frustrated big hit.

When Williams bowled out the captain, Scott Edwards, for 34 off 41 balls in the following over – 192 for seven – the Netherlands were left with their tail-enders to do what they could in the last five overs.

They did quite well to add 39 runs and take the score to 231 for nine wickets, but it was a total short of their hopes, with no batter able to play a major innings of over 40.

Six of the seven bowlers used shared the wickets, with Williams taking three for 41 and Raza two for 55.

The four spin bowlers delivered 35 overs among them on a pitch that suited them more than the pacemen, and only Brandon Mavuta was unfortunately without reward.

Zimbabwe’s opening batters, Madhevere and Craig Ervine, batted fluently from the start and put on 96 for the first wicket in 18 overs.

However, they also left almost together, both falling to the leg-spinner Shariz Ahmed.

First, Ervine miscued a sweep to be superbly caught at midwicket by the diving Nidamanuru after scoring 44 off 55 balls.

Seven runs later, Madhevere, after completing a fine fifty, played a casual drive to be caught on the off side having faced 61 balls.

Now the two left-handers, Ballance and Williams, had to rebuild and they soon had the score moving along quite freely, raising the 50 partnership in nine overs.

The stand was worth 96 before Williams suffered an unlucky dismissal, being bowled by a ball from Fred Klaassen for 43 off 53 balls by a ball that shot through abnormally fast and low off the pitch to knock back his off stump.

Sikandar Raza came in next, and Ballance reached a well-crafted fifty, which took him 64 balls.

Raza was keen to finish the match as quickly as possible now, and roused the crowd with a big drive for six.

Ballance joined the party, and in the next over from Ahmad, Zimbabwe completed the victory in a blaze of glory: Ballance hit two fours and a single, and then Raza finished the series with a powerful back-foot drive for four to take the score to 235 for three.

Ballance scored 64 off 72 balls with eight fours, and Raza 18 off only nine balls.

Zimbabwe’s first four batters all exceeded 40 in achieving what in the end was a big victory by seven wickets.

Shariz Ahmad took two wickets for the Netherlands, but the batters seemed to single him out for some punishment, as his 9.4 overs conceded 71 runs.

Zimbabwe have claimed the series by two victories to one.

Zimbabwe Edge Out Netherlands by 1 Run in Thrilling Encounter to Level Series

Zimbabwe levelled the 3 matches series against the Netherlands by beating them by 1 run in a nail-biting encounter played at Harare sports club.

The chevrons won the toss and chose to bat first on a flat wicket which was not offering much for the bowlers.

Zimbabwe started well with the opening partnership of Craig Ervine and Wessley Madhevere scoring 61 runs for the first wicket stand. Ervine then perished for 39 runs when he was bowled out by Colin Ackermann.

A cluster of wickets then fell for the host leaving them stranded at 120/5, Sean Williams and Clive Madande managed to revive the innings with a solid 6th wicket partnership of 104 runs.

Williams top scoring for Zimbabwe with 77 runs of 73 balls, Madande scored his second consecutive half-century as he fell for 52 runs as they set a target of 271.

Netherlands leg spinner Shariz Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers claiming a five-wicket haul for just 43 runs.

The Dutch chase got off to a flyer scoring 41 runs before Vikramjit Singh was caught by Wellington Masakadza of the bowling Blessing Muzarabani.

They carried on at a good pace as the second-wicket partnership of Max O’Dowd and Tom Cooper posted 125 runs. It ended when Cooper fell 74 through a run-out by wicketkeeper Madande.

Madhevere who was named the man of the match turned the match on its head in the 44th over when he picked up a hat trick of wickets and brought the chevrons into the match.

Sikander Raza kept pilling the pressure claiming 3/39 as Zimbabwe just managed to get home by a whisker.

Netherlands beat Zimbabwe by 3 wickets in first ODI played in Harare

The visitors won the toss and elected to field first on a wicket which favoured the bowlers in the morning.

Zimbabwe never got going batting-wise as the top order struggled with the short ball losing wickets at regular intervals.

The skipper Craig Ervine was first to return to the hut after scoring only 4 runs and was immediately followed by Gary Ballance who also scored 4 runs.

Innocent Kaia who was looking good perished for 12 runs.

Chevrons were in sorts of trouble as they were 98/7 until a solid 8-wicket partnership of Clive Madande and Wellington Masakadza which scored 70 runs in the process resurrecting their innings.

Masakadza then fell for 34 runs but Richard Ngarava proved to be a worthy partner for Madande as they put on 66 runs for the 9th wicket stand.

Madande was the pick of the batsmen for Zimbabwe as he scored his maiden half-century, ending up with 74 runs from 97 balls as they posted a total of 249.

For the Netherlands, Fred Klaassen was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/41.

The visitors’ chase got to a rocky start as they were at some stage 64/5 with the Zimbabwe bowling attack running riot, but managed to stabilize the innings with a half-century from Colin Ackerman before he was bowled out by Masakadza.

Teja Nidamanuru took the Netherlands home with a fine knock of 110 runs for 96 balls

Holy Ten’s Marriage Off to a Rocky start as Allegations of Secret Child Emerge

It was meant to be the happiest day of his life, but barely 24 hours after Zimbabwean rapper Holy Ten announced that he had paid the bride price for his partner, Kimberly Richards, his marriage is already facing a major challenge.

Screenshots and pictures from Holy Ten’s alleged side girlfriend, Tariro Chelsea, have surfaced, suggesting that the rapper may have fathered a child with her.

Tariro has publicly called out the rapper, accusing him of neglecting his son and failing to provide even the most basic necessities for the child.

The alleged screenshots of conversations between Holy Ten and Tariro appear to confirm that the rapper had indeed accepted paternity of the child, with one message referring to the child as his “first son.”

The messages have sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry in Zimbabwe, with many fans expressing mixed feelings on the matter.

Holy Ten has yet to publicly respond to the allegations, and it remains to be seen how this ‘scandal’ will affect his marriage and budding career.

Some fans have expressed their support for the rapper, while others have called for him to take responsibility for his actions and do right by his alleged son.

Others have however castigated the alleged girlfriend Tariro Chelsea for being a sore loser.

Meanwhile, Kimberly Richards, Holy Ten’s wife, has remained silent on the matter. It is unclear how she will react to the news, or whether she will stand by her partner in the face of these allegations.

One thing is for certain, however – Holy Ten’s marriage is off to a rocky start, and it remains to be seen how this drama will unfold.
