MTV Base last night announced the final set of nominees for the MTV Africa Music Awards 2016 and Jah Prayzah made the list.
The announcement was made at the Lagos leg of the Road to MAMA on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Hard Rock Café.
This is the first time a Zimbabwean gets a nomination for the prestigious awards also known as the MAMAs.
The Watora Mari singer got nominated for the Listeners Choice Award and will battle it out for votes with 20 other top African artists.
Amongst the nominees are Bebe Cool (Uganda), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Prince Kaybee (South Africa) and Yamoto Band (Tanzania)
This might come as an emotional relief to the man who has seen his world almost plunging into darkness following allegations that he was sexually abusing former band member Gonyeti.
