Organisers of the Harare International festival of the Arts (HIFA) today announced that they have moved the show time for the Tuku and Winky D gig.
The move is aimed at accommodating more people as it is now happening earlier than previously scheduled.
The show is now happening at 7:15 pm at the ZOl Mainstage.
Another artist Ghana’s only Grammy nominated singer Rocky Dawuni has been moved to the 10pm slot.
Rocky was named one of Africa’s Top 10 global stars by CNN and straddles boundaries between Africa, the Caribbean and the U.S. to create his globally influential Afro Roots sound.
HIFA program this year is looking somewhat lukewarm and uninspiring and the Friday gig is poised to be the one to set the festival ablaze.
The two will be perfoming alongside ‘friends’ whose identity has been kept a suprise but fans are hoping it would be a night worth the cold.
The opening ceremony which took place last night failed to set the tone for the festival as it was marred by a delay, something which has never happened in the history of HIFA.
However the return of the festival was welcomed by many as it took a break last year and experimented with pop up shows which the organisers said didn’t work out very well.
