He has performed in a packed HICC and for those who only knew him by name the young Gary Tight produced a shocker with his stage confidence.
Both at the Winky D album launch and Tarrus Riley gigs he gave a performance of a lifetime, more of an audition for the big slice of the cake.
Promoters of the show Entertainment Republic have once again shown their confidence in Gary Tight by announcing him as one of the major acts for Saturday’s Gig at Glamis Stadium.
This will make Gary Tight,23, the youngest artist on the line up which contains seasoned performers like Sulu Chimbetu, Winky D, Andy Muridzo and Oliver Mtukudzi.
“Gary Tight is well prepared for this show and ever since the historic announcement that Mukanya was coming back home to perform and that we would be performing at the show, we have been on our feet since that day,” his Manager Vokal Bakasa told Zimbuzz.
Ever since Vokal was made the manager Gary has had shows week in and week out and for different crowds.
“Participating at a show of this magnitude is both humbling and uplifting. One needs to look at the line up of artists billed to perform at this historic event to have an appreciation of what it means to him,” added Vokal.
“This is a show of heavyweights and for the organisers to deem it fit to have Gary Tight as one of the performers at the show is a massive vote of confidence in him.
“We are certain that this marks a new era in his career and we will see him more and more on the big stage.”
