M-Net Movies takes no prisoners with its Bang Bang Heroes Pop-Up Channel

After the success of April’s M-Net Movies Marvel Studios pop-up channel, DStv viewers are in for another pop-up treat with the M-Net Movies Bang Bang Heroes channel, set to run in May and June.

Said Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe: “This is yet another unique pop-up offering, this time featuring an adrenalin-fuelled TV experience for DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact viewers.”

M-Net Movies Bang Bang Heroes pop-up channel will run for 24 days, starting on Friday May 18 and ending on Sunday June 10, when more than 90 movies starring world cinema’s most revered action legends will be broadcast.

“Larger-than-life blockbuster stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris are among those will flex their pecs on the channel,” said Ms Dziva.

Viewers will get to see eight films each day, and each of the actions stars will have their own time in the limelight for one day during prime time.

For example, on Friday May 18, Sylvester Stallone will strut his stuff in Get Carter, Cobra and Over The Top.

Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard

On Saturday May 19 Jason Statham will be seen in The Transporter, The Mechanic Resurrection and Parker and on Sunday, May 20 Jet Li moves into action with The One, Romeo Must Die, and Dragon Fight.

Bruce Willis takes on the world in every single instalment of the Die Hard franchise on Saturday, May 25 and Dolph Lundgren’s fighting spirit will be caught on Saturday, May 26 in Masters of The Universe, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning and Skin Trade.

Jean-Claude Van Damme – the muscles from Brussels – shows off his style of brawn on Saturday, June 2 in Streetfighter, Shepherd, and The Sudden Death.

All three “Expendables” films will broadcast on Sunday, June 10, starting with The Expendables at 4.30pm, followed by The Expendables 2 at 6.15pm and The Expendables 3 at 8 pm.

“Pop-up channels are a real bit in Zimbabwe and these action movies will make the next pop-up channel a must-see for fans of the excitement of action adventure,” said Ms Dziva.
