It’s a Gqom Party with Distruction Boyz at Club 1+1

Gqom music duo Distruction Boyz will Friday night make their maiden Harare gig at Club 1+1 in what looks set to be one hell of a party night.

Distruction Boyz who have achieved their goal of becoming the first artists with a strictly gqom album to reach gold status will share the stage with various local artists.

Gqom is a genre of dance music popular in Durban‚ only made mainstream recently by the likes of Babes Wodumo and DJ Tira.

The show is another of the success stories from newly assembled promotions company DTL which is run by Dee Nosh of 2Kings Entertainment.

The duo is made up of 21-year-old Thobani ‘Que’ Mgobhozi and 22-year-old Zipho ‘Gold’ Mthembu who both hail from Kwa-Mashu.

Zimbabwe will experience the magic of Gqom dished out by its original founders come Friday night with their record-breaking summer song, Omunye.

DTL, the organisers have availed tickets at various selling points including Focal Point outlets at Joina City, Sam Levy, Avondale and Westgate.

The tickets are going for $7 and $15 for ordinary and VIP sections respectively.
