Women and men around the world are uniting together, to produce creative and engaging campaigns in their joint fight against breast cancer.

It is in this line of thinking that MisRed took it upon herself to do something within her sphere of influence for this fight against breast cancer.

This past weekend, MisRed hosted her first Annual Pink Picnic for Breast Cancer Awareness, with the focus to extend the conversation around breast cancer #BeyondOctober.

Amongst the attendees were leading women from various sectors of industry and more importantly, sufferers of breast cancer, survivors and those who have lost loved ones to this ailment.

Whilst October is the official breast cancer awareness month, MisRed believes that the conversation should continue past the month of October.

Not only conversations but initiatives and measures to do with availing screening equipment and educating women should not only be limited to the month of October hence the running hashtag for her campaign – #BeyondOctober.

Guests at MisRed’s Picnic Pink

Amongst the guests who attended were Dr Tendai Chaibva-Mabiza a 29yr old female doctor who part owns Chisipite Medical and Dental and keynote speaker Rutendo Karikoga a Breast and Ovarian Cancer Survivor who travelled all the way from Italy to come share her story.

Food World, Davies Events, Jungle Entertainment Ventures, and her management company, KOSHA Management, came together with MisRed as her key corporate partners, ensuring a successful and smooth running Picnic experience.

With #BeyondOctober taking centre stage, MisRed intends on making this an empowering event from which people leave with goals and targets for themselves.

Above all, it is action that speaks the loudest and this is what she wants everyone to walk away with, a plan of action against this omnipresent ailment.
