After nearly two years with no form of rugby in schools largely due to the pandemic of Covid-19 , rugby finally returns with St. John college hosting the inaugural Pure drop oil derby week festival.
The Fiesta roars into life on Monday 25 April and ends Saturday 30 April. Their tag line is “feel the adrenaline”
The festival format will feature second teams on Monday and Friday while first teams will play on Tuesday and Saturday.
The organisers of the event seemed to have opted going strength for strength with the final day Saturday featuring some blockbuster fixtures.
Saturday will commence with Gateway locking horns with Heritage , while Marondera based Watershed will follow next when they entertain Hillcrest.
Lomagundi College which is under the stewardship of Bob Mahari will face off With Eaglesvale in what is poised to be thriller
Traditional powerhouse Prince Edward tigers will resume their rivalry with Churchill bulldogs in the penultimate match of the festival and it’s a fight that could go either way.
The curtain of the festival is expected to come down when the hosts St John’s College entertain Falcon college in what promises to be an epic encounter.
