Tembalami: Uniting Souls in ‘Fearless Praise’ – A Sneak Peek into the Upcoming Concert

The countdown to the remarkable “Fearless Praise” concert, headlined by Nigerian gospel sensation Nathaniel Bassey, has begun.

Tembalami, the renowned Zimbabwean worship artist, will be gracing the stage alongside Bassey and a lineup that includes gospel powerhouses such as Janet Manyowa, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle and Ellard Cherayi.

Fearless Praise promises to be an evening of heavenly melodies and transformative worship experiences.

We had the privilege of sitting down with Tembalami to discuss his music, his excitement for the upcoming concert, and what attendees can expect on May 25th.

Q: How do you feel about being one of the artists performing at the Fearless Praise Concert headlined by Nathaniel Bassey? What are you looking forward to the most about this event?

A: It is such an honour to be part of the team performing on Africa Day alongside Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, Janet Manyowa, and Ellard Cherayi. This concert is an important outreach program for Celebration Church during ‘Action Conference’, as it brings our community together as a family to worship. I’m looking forward to the unity and the power of collective worship. It’s a time when we can come together, regardless of our backgrounds, and experience the transformative presence of God.

Q: Your lyrics often touch on themes of faith, hope, and perseverance. What message do you hope your music conveys to listeners, and how do you think it can help people in their daily lives?

A: I believe that music has the power to inspire, motivate, educate, and give hope to people. In these challenging times, when many face hardships and hopelessness, my music aims to uplift and encourage listeners. Through my lyrics, I want to remind people that there is hope, that they can persevere, and that their faith can overcome any obstacle. I want my music to be a source of strength and a reminder that they are not alone in their journey.

Q: Your latest release, “Victory,” featuring Nutty O, came out in December. Was the song a single from an upcoming project, and can people expect surprises or new songs on the 25th of May?

A: “Victory” with Nutty O is indeed a single from my new album, “Not Going Back.” I’m excited about this album and the messages it carries. It was a wonderful experience collaborating with Nutty O and stepping into a space where gospel music doesn’t usually venture. As for surprises, I don’t want to give too much away, but I can promise to perform songs that will resonate deeply with people’s hearts.

As the “Fearless Praise” concert draws near, the excitement is palpable and those looking forward to attending can get their tickets at ticketbox.co.zw or from Wordwide Bookstore for US$10 for the Amphitheatre experience, US$20 for standard tickets and US$40 for the VIP seats.
