Learnmore Jonasi Arrives for Shoko Festival Comedy Night on Tomorrow

Zimbabwean stand-up comedian Learnmore Jonasi has just landed at Robert Mugabe International Airport for his Shoko Festival Comedy Night in Harare on September 26.

Jonasi has flown the country’s flag high following his impressive performances on America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 19.

The homecoming for Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer recipient is set to be a sold-out show, as tickets are selling fast, according to a source at the Shoko Festival.

He finished in the top five after competing against ten other acts in the two-hour live broadcast, including Japanese dance group Airfootworks, Australian dance group Brent Street, vocal powerhouse Dee Dee Simon, the Hakuna Matata Acrobats.

Singing janitor Richard Goodall, dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm, aerialist couple Sebastián and Sonia, drone group Sky Elements, and quick-change performer Solange Kardinaly.

This year’s Shoko Festival is running under the theme, #BothSidesOfSamora, as it highlights the historical divide between different social classes in the North and South.

Shoko kicks off in Harare Gardens with Shoko Comedy Night on September 26, featuring Learnmore Jonasi as the headliner, and then moves on to Mash Up Night on September 27, showcasing over 15 acts in one night, including Nadia Nakai and Kayflow.
