Kweseka Band Crowned 2024 Chibuku Road To Fame Champions in a Spectacular Finale

The Chibuku Road To Fame national finals at Glamis Arena last Saturday delivered an unforgettable evening where dreams and aspirations were realised.

With over US$30,000 in prizes up for grabs, the competition drew thousands of fans eager to witness the country’s top emerging talent battle for the prestigious title.

Stealing the spotlight and ultimately taking home the grand prize was the Afro-fusion outfit Kweseka Band from Matabeleland North.

The band clinched victory with a well-deserved performance, walking away with a US$15,000 cash prize and a recording contract with a studio of their choice.

Kweseka has a rich, layered sound which captivated the audience and judges alike, making them the undeniable champions of the night.

Chinhoyi-based ensemble Boom Jazz also impressed with their powerful sound and unique stage presence, earning them second place and a cash prize of US$10,000.

The third-place honour went to Music To Music, an energetic group from Bulawayo, who took home US$7,000 for their lively and passionate performance.
