Thousands of revellers thronged Glamis Arena on Saturday, 17 October, for the 11th edition of Castle National Braai Day, which once again lived up to expectations with a vibrant atmosphere, music and plenty of entertainment.
The event was well organised, with tight security and multiple outlets catering for revellers looking to buy refreshments and meat for their braais. The musical experience was equally impressive, with DJs such as I Made Her Believe warming up the crowd in the afternoon.
Kuchena hitmaker Anita Chinx was the first live act of the day and did not disappoint. Dressed in an elegant army-green outfit, she delivered a lively performance, complete with well-choreographed dance routines, as the crowd gradually swelled.
Seasoned artiste Tamy Moyo was the second live performer and kept the bar high with her energetic dancing and powerful vocals, drawing an enthusiastic response from the growing audience.
The Chillspot Family, led by Fantan, took the excitement up another notch, with artistes from the stable sending the crowd into a frenzy through their performances.
Ex-Q, like a well-brewed cold Castle beer, continues to deliver with every performance. The talented musician kept revellers entertained with his familiar hits and stage presence, adding to the day’s memorable musical moments.
It has become a tradition that Castle National Braai Day is incomplete without a Winky D performance, and the Gaffa President duly delivered.
Winky D took to the stage after midnight, with his epic entrance sending the crowd into a frenzy. The zim dancehall star brought the curtain down on what had been an eventful day, leaving revellers with a performance to remember.
Castle National Braai Day once again proved to be a major gathering on Zimbabwe’s entertainment calendar, bringing together music lovers and braai enthusiasts for a day that stretched well into the night.
