Upcoming artiste Simbarashe Shumba, popularly known as Skiezy, delivered a memorable live performance at the Little Farm in Harare during the debut edition of his new show titled Tuned In With Skiezy, an R&B, acoustic and Afro-pop experience aimed at creating intimate connections with music lovers.
This first show was dedicated mainly to the mothers as he launched it on 10th May where he invited mainly mothers whom he serenaded with his performance
The event brought together fans for an evening filled with soulful performances, live instrumentation and smooth Afro-pop melodies as Skiezy showcased both released and unreleased music from his growing catalogue.
During the performance, the singer treated audiences to songs from his debut EP Tapi Tapi, while also introducing upcoming singles, including “Simba” and his newly released track “Remember,” featuring Shane.
Skiezy said the show was designed to create a relaxed and personal atmosphere where audiences could fully connect with the music and storytelling behind his songs.
The artiste expressed excitement over the successful launch of the platform, adding that the debut edition was only the beginning of bigger plans ahead.
“We have more intimate shows coming up and more brand-new tunes on the way, so people should stay tuned,” he said.
Apart from performing, Skiezy also opened up about balancing music with academics as he is pursuing his master’s degree in construction project management.
Asked how he manages both worlds, the young artiste admitted that he is still learning how to navigate the demands of education and entertainment simultaneously.
“I need to find out, but I don’t have an actual formula. It just works out,” he said with a laugh.
The launch of *Tuned In With Skiezy* marks another milestone for the rising Afro-pop singer, whose blend of acoustic R&B sounds and relatable storytelling continues to attract attention within Zimbabwe’s growing contemporary music scene.
Fans can expect more live sessions, fresh collaborations and upcoming releases as Skiezy continues to establish himself as one of the promising young voices in local music.
