Five months ago Kobe Bryant announced that he was retiring from the game of basketball .
At the age of 17-year-old Kobe who hailed from the Philadelphia suburbs launched what would become one of the most decorated careers in NBA history, spanning two decades and a Hall of Fame resume bursting with accolades.
Not many would have thought that at such an age Kobe Bryant will give us lasting memories as we watched him improve, week in and week out.
“I wanted to prove at 17 that I’m fine. You don’t have to worry about me. You don’t have to give me a bib and a pacifier. You don’t have to have somebody tuck me in. I’m ready to go. If I get knocked down, I will be fine.” he told the Los Angeles Daily News in 2016.
