The Award Winning South African star took to the HIFA ZOL mainstage last night and gave a splendid showing before a packed crowd.
Her dynamic voice and dazzling presence saw HIFA fans dance to every of her song as she took us down memory lane when she made her entrance into music.
Her 2006 hit ‘Feel Good’ attracted much applause and excitement, proving once again the staying power of a great discography.
Lira spoke of her admiration for the late icon Winnie Mandela and how she was inspired by her works to write the song ‘Born Free’
There were wild cheers when she performed the song ‘Let there be Light’ when she added Shona lyrics to the song.
“Lira is an amazing performer, she still as good as when I first saw her on SABC, I had a good night,” said one fan Melody.

Tonight sees the return of South Africa’s top billing pop band, Beatenberg on the ZOL Mainstage.
They gained regional attention in 2014 with multi-award nominated collaboration with DJ Clock for Pluto (Remember You) as it became the number one popular song on South African radio for over nineteen consecutive weeks.
Their second album The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg (2014) generated hit singles including Beauty Like a Tightened Bow (2014) Scorpionfish (2014), and Pluto (Remember You) (2014).
