Draze in New Musical Collaboration with Owuor Arunga

Following recent success with Hollywood placements of his music, Draze is back with a new single, Building Black Wealth.

 

Draze who is based in Los Angeles is the son of legendary mbira performer Dumisani Maraire and the little brother of Chiwoniso.

Set to the acoustic sounds of human beatbox, Building Black Wealth features Draze playing traditional Zimbabwean mbira accompanied by Owuor Arunga on trumpet.

Through a story-telling style, Draze brings listeners into his personal journey towards supporting economic development of Black communities.

Draze poetically spotlights 18 Black-owned businesses to illustrate the breadth
and depth of African-American ingenuity and entrepreneurship.

The result is a soulful, tribal hip hop
anthem inspiring listeners to be intentional in supporting the development of black wealth.

For Draze, music has always been a platform for social commentary and activism. A stronger Black community makes for a stronger America.

The song and the movement Building Black Wealth are inclusive, inviting people of all races and cultures to join in this important work.

Building Black Wealth is the first release from Draze’s upcoming album “African American” set to release in early March 2020.

Draze is a songwriter, producer, emcee, and musician. Propelled to global recognition with featured music in TV shows, advertisements, and film.
