Miss V Candy Drops Mayhem…Her biggest Collabo Yet

After welcoming a beautiful baby last year TV presenter and rapper Miss V Candy has come out with an equally beautiful star-studded collaboration.

Titled Mayhem, the song which features Nyanda of Brick and Lace as well as South African rapper Gigi Lamayne dropped during the Easter holidays and is already on heavy rotation across African radio stations.

The original music was created by Zimbabwean Award-Winning Hip hop producer Xndr and additional production and vocals were done by Shayzar of Mixmasterz in South Africa.

Nyanda’s vocals were done in Miami.

It debuted on Nigeria’ Rhythm FM ‘s Dance Party hosted by Big Brother Africa Host IK and will this week drop on South African Stations.

The song is already on all Zimbabwean urban stations.

With an all-female ensemble, the track which is a blend of Hip Hop and dancehall is the first major single from establishing Entertainment Afrika Records whose vision is of making global music and working with international artists.

Entertainment Afrika Records CEO Marc Mandisoul explains how the collabo came about.

“The collaboration came about after Entertainment Afrika Records signed V Candy and the first single was designed to be a girl-power track so I hooked up Nyanda and Gigi through Mixmasterz to work on the project,” he said

“Nyanda loved the music and laced her hook and then later added a verse. There is a version that includes Kat Dahlia but her label would prefer it to be a remix because of her contractual obligations.”

He added: “Nyanda was the first choice because concept involved blending Hop hop with dancehall given that Zimbabwe is also largely warming up to that genre and she can also do pop hooks so that was the added advantage and it being a ladies anthem Gigi Lamayne was the best choice from South Africa.

“She has a sound different from V Candy and this gives variety to the hip hop verses making track both solid and radio friendly.”

Speaking of the new song Miss V Candy said she was pleased with the direction her career was taking.

“I’m loving where this music is taking me,” she said.

“I have always wanted to rap but wasn’t so sure. It’s great that I get to start at this level and work with the dopest team ever.”
