Three minutes and fifty-three seconds was all the young pop artists Tamy, Nutty O and producer Chiweddar needed to produce magic.
The new song which was released yesterday definitely makes its way into the treasure trove of pure gloriousness collaborations ever to come out of Zimbabwe.
Titled Lay it Down, it is a blending of two voices – One from dancehall and another from RnB and the production by Chiweddar gave the duet a sparkle.
“With this single my most important goal is for people to continue to appreciate what I bring as an artist to the table more so for young people to be inspired by what Nutty O, Chiweddar and I have done,” Tammy told Zimbuzz
“The future of our country and the world at large is the youth and my hope is that what I do pushes them to want to achieve more in life.”
Nutty O’s rise has not only been because of his immense talent but work ethic too, something that made Tamy want to collaborate with him.
“I chose Nutty O because he is young and vibrant, it’s important to have people who share the same vision as you to walk with you.
“Nutty O and I click on that level, he is very hardworking,” said Tammy.
It’s difficult to hear this song and not dance, it’s made in such a way that whichever way you move, it just blends.
We really could not box the production into a genre, all we could hear was that its good music.
