Gweru-born Lyshanda Moyas has been named the new Miss Universe Zimbabwe in a dazzling ceremony held at Harare’s prestigious Hippodrome on Saturday night.
The 26-year-old healthcare professional captivated the judges and audience alike, securing her place as the country’s next representative on the global stage.
Moyas, a dedicated nurse, will now prepare to compete at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 21, 2025.
She takes over the crown from her predecessor, Sakhile Dube, and will carry Zimbabwe’s flag with pride as she vies for the international title.
Along with the prestigious honour, Moyas was awarded a brand-new Mercedes-Benz and a cash prize.
The star-studded event also saw Onesimo Nkomo and Rumbidzai Muzopa shine as first and second runners-up, respectively.
With her grace and intelligence, Moyas is set to make a powerful impression as she steps onto the world stage.
