The 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Best XI has been announced, featuring a strong presence from champions Simba Bhora, who dominate the list with five players.
The selections include Simba Bhora’s captain, Walter Musona, along with Blessing Moyo, Isheanesu Mauchi, Webster Tafa, and striker Tymon Machope.
Voting took place on Wednesday, conducted by a panel comprising journalists, club coaches, and team captains.
Among the eleven standout players is Khama Billiat, who returned to Zimbabwe this year to join Yadah after a successful stint in the South African Premiership.
Lynoth Chikuhwa, the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Golden Boot winner and a striker for Highlanders, also earned a place on the list.
CAPS United is represented by two players: Godknows Murwira and rising star Kingsley Mureremba.
Additionally, Chicken Inn goalkeeper Donovan Bernard made history by becoming the first goalkeeper to finish the domestic Premier Soccer League season with an impressive tally of 20 clean sheets.
Completing the Best XI is Dynamos defender Emmanuel Jalai.
The voting on Wednesday also determined the winners of several prestigious awards, including Soccer Star of the Year, two runners-up, Coach of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, and the Most Promising Player under the age of 20.
The winners will be announced at a banquet scheduled to take place in Harare on December 6.
