Zimbabwean high energy dancehall chanter Delroy HKD is ready to throw his name into the dancehall space with a brand new track titled Popcorn.
The song which dropped this week together with a video has an undeniable vibe with heavy Jamaica roots influences.
Depicting the ugliness that today’s youths have to grow in, the video kicks off with an ensuing fight in a market place that’s notorious for drug peddling.
One guy grabs a bag full of drugs and runs towards a getaway car as the boys celebrate their loot.
The scenario depicts what Delroy HKD is saying in the lyrics, he says he doesn’t miss a headshot and if he catches you, your head will burst out like Popcorn.
The innuendos also see the dancehall star laying a claim on his rivals that he is out to gun for the number one spot.
So much happens in this song and its brilliance is still as good as it sounds
