Rapper Tricky J and Lady Bee — A Perfect Controversial-Cocktail

Have you at any point known two extraordinary different individuals who have started dating, despite the fact that all rationale focuses on it being a formula for calamity?

Well, every once in a while, a song featuring two artists that are from completely different planets hits the charts and we are shocked how that came about.

Picture this a fine rapper Tricky J teaming up with hardcore dancehall chanter Lady Bee!!

We Just love it when our favourite controversial artists come together to create a record that combines their unique talents

The only logical explanation we have is that the two love controversy – Bum controversy to put it simply. So perhaps it was their love to see bums in videos that joined them together.

So what Bums have joined together let no man put asunder!!

The song ‘Get Set’ which dropped early yesterday ticks all the boxes for a major hit collaboration for 2018.

This is a song that will scoop awards.

You got to give it to Lady Bee, she rode that hip-hop beat like she was born for it. Known for her outrageous lyrics and dances, lady Bee brought her A game with class.

For Tricky J, the fine young man is a good rapper and has the image that can take him places, he only needs not to have a lot of those hiatus moments.

Tricky J is that boy who featured on the 2015 controversial song and video called Tambisa as well as the gTbeats Mare song, which inspired a lot of change in Zim Hip Hop.

The song is Great and you will love the Hip Hop/Dancehall combination make no mistake about that. But the lady who unapologetically grinds her rear off, twerking on the bed and in the hallway…That you will love more.

This collaboration is so good it can define both artists’ career.

The thumbnail to the video might be a little bit over the top, so we will only be pasting the VIDEO LINK HERE

Avengers: Infinity War — The 5 harshest Criticisms

The hype surrounding the Avengers: Infinity War has been building so long, yet the reviews coming out don’t necessarily reflect the hopes and dreams of Marvel fans gushing over the trailers and details that have been revealed thus far.

The Marvel Universe showdown that has been years in the making is finally here, with everyone from “Guardians of the Galaxy” to “Doctor Strange” and even “Spider-Man” slated to gather in “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Sure, “Infinity War” earned a solid 87 percent rating on Rotten Tomato’s famous “tomatometer,” but outlets as prestigious as The New York Times and Chicago Tribune are offering some tough critiques.

Most Marvel movies tend to receive rave reviews from critics and viewers alike — and this one certainly has and will too — so we decided in good fun to offer a glimpse of the viewpoints held by those who weren’t as impressed.

Don’t worry. No spoilers here

The New York Times – ‘makes very little sense’

Considered on its own, as a single, nearly 2-hour-40-minute movie, “Avengers: Infinity War” makes very little sense, apart from the near convergence of its title and its running time.

The action is especially tedious and predictable. I mean both the scenes of fighting and flying and the overall rhythm of the first two hours or so.

People talk for a while, sprinkling jokes and morsels of personality into the heavy dough of exposition. Then they fight in the usual way, by throwing giant objects (and one another) and shooting waves of colour from their hands.

The noisy, bloated spectacles of combat were surely the most expensive parts of the movie, but the money seems less like an imaginative tool than a substitute for genuine imagination.

Chicago Tribune – ‘a marketing convergence seminar’

“Avengers: Infinity War” is a lot of movies. You can hate it and still say that much with confidence.

Its various, overlapping fan bases won’t hold what they don’t like against it, I bet. “A lot,” though, doesn’t mean it’s much fun or even very good. … This isn’t a movie. It’s a marketing convergence seminar.

The Detroit News – ‘too much everything’

Bigger isn’t always better.

It’s like if “We Are the World” had to squeeze in three more verses to give Prince, Van Halen, Duran Duran, Phil Collins, Elton John and Madonna time to shine.

It’s too much. Too many characters, too much action, too much everything. It’s a superhero surplus with too many heroes and not enough screen. It’s “Infinity” overload.

The Los Angeles Times – ‘a staggering feat of crowd control’

Whatever else it may be — a culmination, an obligation, a staggering feat of crowd control, a truly epic tease — “Avengers: Infinity War” is a brisk, propulsive, occasionally rousing and borderline-gutsy continuation of a saga that finally and sensibly seems to be drawing to a close.

My initial fear was that “Avengers: Infinity War” would be a hopeless, planet-hopping traffic jam of a movie, a black hole of enervating cinematic chaos.

The reality may be even more depressing: It works just fine, and that’s all it was ever meant to do. Few of the characters leave us wanting more because there doesn’t, at this late phase, appear to be anything more.

Time Magazine – ‘no pulse’

There’s no pacing in “Avengers: Infinity War.” It’s all sensation and no pulse. Everything is big, all of the time.

[T]here’s potential poetry buried deep in Avengers: Infinity War. But it’s not a sturdy enough crocus to push through the movie’s ironclad surface.

Crooger, Briss Mbada pays Tribute to the Seductive City in new Video

Beauty is in the eyes of Harare affirms rappers Crooger and Briss Mbada in this new fierce love anthem where they pour praises on the City’s beautiful girls

Harare Hucci is that kind of track that wins the argument for you when it comes to the question of which place has the most beautiful women.

We would have loved to, however, see more of the fair share of women with grace, appeal and amazing bodies Harare has but unfortunately, the video deprived.

Crooger has been that one rapper on the radder dropping some really great works that are worth the salt.

Simply put the song Harare Hucci celebrates the beautiful women of Harare, its that kind that makes them sneak off to the bathroom for a dance break, look yourself in the mirror and say yaaa ‘Im sweater than honey’

The song is perfectly layered on a formidable beat with complimenting booming vocals and utterly catchy melodies that will have you sing along to it in no time

BREAKING: Bill Cosby found Guilty of all Charges

A Montgomery County jury has found Bill Cosby guilty of the only criminal charges to emerge from a career-ending scandal fueled by dozens of women who accused the entertainer once known as “America’s Dad” of sexual assault.

Cosby was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004.

The 80-year-old former comedian faces up to 10 years in prison on each count.

Victims of Cosby sitting in the Norristown, PA, courtroom shrieked and cried in delight after the first verdict was announced.

The comic sat forward on the edge of his chair, showing little emotion. But when Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele began addressing bail, Cosby became animated.

The panel began deliberating Wednesday around 11 a.m. and worked for more than 14 hours over two days to reach the verdict.

The case against Cosby centered on testimony from Constand, a former employee with Temple University women’s basketball team.

She testified that Cosby, a powerful trustee at Temple, drugged her and sexually assaulted her when she visited his home to ask for career advice.

Cosby’s defense team argued that their interaction was consensual. Constand is a con artist, they argued, who wanted a piece of Cosby’s fortune.

The case is the first celebrity sexual assault trial since the #MeToo movement began last fall, and as such, it represents a test of how the cultural movement will translate into a courtroom arena.

In closing arguments, defense attorney Kathleen Bliss positioned Cosby’s legal team as standing up against “witch hunts, lynchings (and) McCarthyism.”

Although dozens of women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, only Constand’s allegations resulted in criminal charges.

Tamy, Nutty O & Chiweddar’s new Song is Pure Gloriousness!!

Three minutes and fifty-three seconds was all the young pop artists Tamy, Nutty O and producer Chiweddar needed to produce magic.

The new song which was released yesterday definitely makes its way into the treasure trove of pure gloriousness collaborations ever to come out of Zimbabwe.

Titled Lay it Down, it is a blending of two voices – One from dancehall and another from RnB and the production by Chiweddar gave the duet a sparkle.

“With this single my most important goal is for people to continue to appreciate what I bring as an artist to the table more so for young people to be inspired by what Nutty O, Chiweddar and I have done,” Tammy told Zimbuzz

“The future of our country and the world at large is the youth and my hope is that what I do pushes them to want to achieve more in life.”

Nutty O’s rise has not only been because of his immense talent but work ethic too, something that made Tamy want to collaborate with him.

“I chose Nutty O because he is young and vibrant, it’s important to have people who share the same vision as you to walk with you.

“Nutty O and I click on that level, he is very hardworking,” said Tammy.

It’s difficult to hear this song and not dance, it’s made in such a way that whichever way you move, it just blends.

We really could not box the production into a genre, all we could hear was that its good music.

Young Gary Tight ready to make History at Mukanya Gig

He has performed in a packed HICC and for those who only knew him by name the young Gary Tight produced a shocker with his stage confidence.

Both at the Winky D album launch and Tarrus Riley gigs he gave a performance of a lifetime, more of an audition for the big slice of the cake.

Winners Of The DStv Eutelsat Star Awards Announced

Students from Uganda and Tanzania have been named international winners of the seventh annual DStv Eutelsat Star Awards competition, at the climax of the latest edition of the increasingly popular pan-African competition that focuses on science and space technology.

At a special event held recently in Kampala, Uganda, it was announced that the essay section of the competition was won by Amos Mumbere of Ntare School in Uganda, while the poster section was won by Rasheed Taher of Al-Madrasa-tus-Safiya-tul-Burhaniya School in Tanzania.

The competition attracted hundreds of entries from 20 countries across Africa, including Zimbabwe.

Levels of accuracy, creativity and originality were judged to be higher than ever before, in both categories.

The topic of the essay category for this latest edition of the competition required entrants to highlight the long-term effects of the pioneering Sputnik satellite on the 60th anniversary of its launch into space.

The winner of the essay category has won a trip to Paris and also a launch site in French Guiana, where he will witness a rocket being launched that will place a satellite in orbit.

The poster section winner has won a trip for two to visit MultiChoice facilities in Randburg, South Africa, and the South African National Space Agency near Johannesburg.

The schools attended by these overall continental award winners were also each rewarded with a DStv installation, including satellite dish, television set, PVR decoder and free access to the DStv Education Bouquet.

Said Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said that over the past seven years Zimbabwean students had featured well at international level.

“This year we were not lucky enough to have a winner at this level, and the top continental prizes have gone to other countries, but we know that judges were delighted with the quantity and quality of entries from Zimbabwe and we look forward to continued entry by Zimbabwean high school students when the 2018 competition takes place ,” she said.

Zimbabwean winners of prizes at country level were announced last month: in the essay category, the winner was Einstein Mubemi (14) of St Columba’s High School, Mutare, while the runner-up was Kudzai Kafesu (17) of St Ignatius High College near Harare.

In the poster category, Takunda Nyambuya (17) of Mutare Boys High School was named winner, and the runner-up was 17-year-old Gabriella Makandidze of Matopo High School near Bulawayo.

In 2010 MultiChoice Africa and Eutelsat combined their expertise to initiate an annual pan-African student competition called the DStv Eutelsat Star Awards, which is aimed at encouraging 14 to 19-year-old students to write an essay or design a poster on a satellite-related topic.

Country winners are named in each category and they then compete with colleagues from across Africa for the overall awards.
