Prophet Edd Branson honoured with two Prestigious International Awards

“It is my humble plea to the people of Zimbabwe to embrace one another despite our diverse backgrounds and divergent views, to embrace unity, love, peace, and hard work. If we fail on this, we might short-change other citizens in not partaking in the full realisation of prosperity.”

The above were the words of General Overseer and Founder of Jesus Generation International Ministries and the Edd Branson Foundation, Dr. Prophet Edd Branson as he addressed members of the media following his nomination and award of two prestigious international awards.

Prophet Edd Branson will be travelling to the United Kingdom where he has been invited as Special Guest and Awardee for the 2019 African Achievers Awards International Lectures / Honours.

The event will take place in the House of Commons.

The African Achievers Awards Ceremony is geared at recognizing excellent individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves in their contributions to the growth and development of Africa.

Some of the notable Individuals and Organizations who have been honoured at the prestigious Award Ceremonies include Arch. Bishop Desmond Tutu, H.E. Jakaya Kikwete, Former President of the Republic of Tanzania,

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Kofi Annan Foundation, The African Development Bank (AFDB) amongst many.

Dr. Prophet Edd Branson has also been appointed Director/Commissioner African Cultural Diversity and Entrepreneurship Global Diplomatic Council and International Commission of Diplomacy by the Global Diplomatic Council Appointment headquartered at The Hague in The Netherlands.

The appointment is made in light of his International commitment to advance humanity, peace and awareness to advance social development and stronger societies, civil liberties cultural diversity and religious freedom.

The Global Diplomatic Council (GDC) examines the role of diplomacy in addressing the major problems of global society. It studies the various diplomatic instruments available for this purpose, how they work and discuss the various factors that condition their operation and missions.

“l call upon all Zimbabwean and African citizens to be “responsible citizens” and quit the self-pity syndrome.

This is imperative and I believe we could drive all of us towards prosperity if we refuse and throw away the mental chains that have colonised us for far too long,” he said during the media brief.

The event was also graced by acting Deputy Director Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Mutsigiri Vimbai Gukwe Chivaura as well as the organisers and leaders of the Zimbabwe Diplomatic Awards.

SuperSport to show Zimbabwe Netball World Cup Matches

As Zimbabwe’s Gems prepare to take part in the much publicised 2019 Netball World Cup, SuperSport has geared itself to satisfy growing interest levels in their progress with comprehensive coverage of the tournament, which also features three other African teams.

Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said participation in the event by the Gems made watching the games a must for Zimbabwean sports fans, and live coverage was set to facilitate as-the-action-happens viewership.

“We are excited by the Gems’ involvement and I am sure all Zimbabweans will be keen to see how they get on in Liverpool, where the tournament starts next week,” she said.

The four teams from the continent that are spearheading an African netball challenge are Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa and Uganda, each of which is determined to break the Australasian hold on the trophy.

From Wednesday July 12 all 60 matches will be broadcast on SuperSport, ending with the final on Sunday July 21.

“This will be the first time every match can be seen live through the World of Champions, and is recognition of the growing importance of netball in the sporting arena,” said Ms Dziva.

The John Cole Unplugged Show: A Night Of Explosive Dance & Extraordinary Entertainment

Friday 28th June goes down history with a tag on John Cole; A young dance maestro determined to build a globally acclaimed brand.

Written by Byron Kabaira and Diana Elisha Nheera

John Cole is perfecting his dance acumen and also nurturing the sort of business edge that continues to evade most artists.

The sold-out event was held at the Jasen Mphepo Little Theatre in Eastlea, Harare. Guests were treated to a warm reception of a snack plate, Afro Joy juice, and some still water all courtesy of Chef Max and ZLG respectively.

In this reception, guests had the opportunity to mingle with other guests representing different stakeholders namely media, sponsors, supporters, fanatics, friends and family to John Cole as well as fellow music industry brands.

At exactly 19:00 the event roared to life as we were ushered into the theatre for some opening music performance by Tendex and unforgettable dance experience as Cole Nation (John Cole’s ensemble) together with Scara the Drummer kept the crowd on their feet with well-programmed oscillation between dance displays and majestic drum works.

The night got even warmer as the individual dancer displays from Cole Nation kept us all dancing and/or swaying vigorously.

The first half of the event was directed by MC Maimba whose midas touch could have only been succeeded by John’s own who went on to host and took us through some jaw-dropping storytelling that chronicled his childhood, being orphaned at a tender age, the discovery of dance and how he aimed at taking this as a serious professional business obeying fundamental business principles.

John has a rich profile having directed choreography for most well doing and breakthrough artists in Zimbabwe namely Tytan & Ammara Brown (Mukoko), Ammara’s Akiliz video, Cynthia Mare (Ngoro), Cindy (Setter Pace), not forgetting his own NAMA nominated hit song Skoro Skoro as well as Xhexhe.

Troubled Heart..Pastor G has a Song for You!

With the ever threatening possibility of total economic collapse and impending chaos, a song about hope and God’s love for humanity is what every Zimbabwean needs to listen to now.

One of contemporary music’s most consistent artists Pastor G digs deep from his soul to bring out a song about refuge titled ‘Zita RaJesu’

The message is simple yet powerful and relevant ‘When tempted to flee the pressures of life, hide in God. Only God can offer true refuge from life’s dangers and the misery it brings.

Shot by Simba G, the video’s opening parts are shot on location in the central business district of Harare, the hive and economic hub of the country, perhaps a befitting and significant set up to depict the healing the country so desperately needs.

This is one for the permanent playlist if you need some assurances about God’s plan for your life.

Mudiwa and Trevor Dongo’s Tender-hearted ballad for their Moms

For as long as mothers exist, the world will never run out of Love! Such is the message in the new Mudiwa song titled Amai Vakandirera.

Some of the world’s best and most popular artists have at one point penned a song for their special mothers, but there seems to be not enough of them as the love we have for our mums is too much to contain in one song.

Teaming up with the King of RnB Trevor Dongo, the two created the ultra sweet ballad.

“A dedication to all mothers and everyone who has played a motherly role to every child in this world. Your efforts are fully appreciated. All African mothers may God bless you for raising a child in Africa, it is indeed the hardest but you do it will all the love, God bless You,” reads the Youtube caption on the song.

Mudiwa who is working on his new album after taking a long break from music is back invigorated by the never dying love of her mother.

Now a married man the rapper said his album will carry music that has been brewing inside of him during the period he has been out of the studio.

And if we are to use Amai Vakandirera as a gauge, then definitely the wait has been worth it.
