There was something rather unusual on Kikky BadAss’ album cover when private guests at the launch at Crown Plaza laid hands on her new project.
Kikky had proved to all and sundry that she had put in the work and was hungry enough for success.
The bootylicious singer had pulled off the biggest collaboration in Zim Pop Music to date, landing a collaboration with Nigerian rapper and songwriter Ycee together with A-list producer Wizzypro.
Together they created the magic on a track titled Reality which is on her new 13 track album titled ‘Queen of South’ you can read the Zimbuzz album review here.
The talented rapper, who is currently signed on to Tinny Entertainment rose to fame with his 2015 hit “Condo”, which features Patoranking.
Producer Wizzypro who has worked with artists such as Timaya, Patoranking, Skales, Runtown and Wizkid made a modern afro-feel hip hop trap which brought out the creativity of Kikky.
Kikky tells us how the massive collaboration came about.
“The collabo came about when I was visiting in Nigeria, Ycee is signed to Tinny entertainment owned by Tinny who happened to be a friend,” she said.
“So Ycee heard the song and liked it and he put his verse on it, just like that.”
She said that she will be travelling to Nigeria to shoot the video to the song.I’m goi g to shoot the video this year when I go to Nigeria
But what does the album mean to her, she explains:
“This album means a lot to me, I worked hard, and was able to put it together while at the same time going to school, it makes me so proud of myself.
“It signifies a new beginning for great things to be born for me,” she explained.
