FIFA Lifts Transfer Ban on Yadah FC After Full Settlement of Player Compensation

Yadah FC can now resume normal operations after FIFA lifted the transfer ban that had restricted the club from registering new players.

The ban was imposed after the club failed to comply with a FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) ruling, which found Yadah FC guilty of not fulfilling its contractual obligations to three Brazilian players: Juan Luciano Farias, Deivid Pereira De Brito, and Joao Pedro Marques Barcelos.

The Footballers Union of Zimbabwe confirmed that Yadah FC has now fully settled the outstanding payments, meeting FIFA’s requirements and leading to the removal of the ban.

The club had been sanctioned by FIFA for failing to adhere to the DRC’s decision, which mandated compensation for the players.

“The transfer ban on Yadah FC has been lifted following the club’s full settlement of its financial obligations to the affected players,” a statement from the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe read.

The ban had prevented Yadah FC from registering new players, a significant setback for the club as it aimed to strengthen its squad, and at one point, they only had one substitute on the bench in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.

Yadah FC, based in Harare, is owned by popular cleric Prophet Walter Magaya
