Dial-A-Delivery Application – Deliciousness delivered to your Table

With just a few taps on a phone screen, ordering food has never been this simpler, eliminating the travelling hustle.

Why go out for dinner or lunch when deliciousness can be delivered to you!

From their kitchen to your table fast Food giant, Simbisa Brands has launched a new technological application which the business has signified will be forming a core part of its go to market strategy going forward.

The Dial-A-Delivery Application, which the company unveiled recently is meant to position the business as a key player in the mobile convergence of services, which has taken the market by storm.

The application was developed locally by a team of Zimbabweans as part of the business’s focus on developing local value chains and solutions.

Warren Meares, Managing Director of Simbisa Brands Zimbabwe explained; “The market is asking for convenience, this is a global phenomenon, and for us, providing convenience to consumers was a natural response as we seek to unlock further opportunities for growth.

There is a convergence of service to mobile devices, and the Dial-A-Delivery Application is our stake in this.”

Simbisa Brands has been on a growth path throughout the year, with the business having opened up complexes in Msasa and Chisipite and also having extended the Haefelis brand to Harare from Bulawayo.

Additionally, the business has purchased additional sites for expansion within the Sam Levy Mall in Borrowdale, where new Nando’s, Haefelis and Creamy Inn stores are being set up.

“We are optimistic about our business, and the prospects for growth in the future, and as the economy opens up and expands, we realise the need to build the capacity we will need for sustained future growth”, added Meares.

Formerly part of Innscor, Simbisa Brands, is the 10th largest company by market capitalisation on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and owns the Pizza Inn, Chicken Inn, Cream Inn, Bakers Inn and Haefelis Brands.

The business also holds licences for Rocomamas, Nando’s, Ocean Basket and Steers in Zimbabwe.

Dzamutsana — Jah Prayzah in his Golden State

Along both sides of the Zambezi River, in North-West Zimbabwe lives a tribe called the Tonga people.

The Tonga people have a rich tradition, they are one of the most intriguing tribes in the world, despite all the threats and pressures of modern day life, they still hold on to their cultural beliefs and survival life styles.

In the 1950s when Lake Kariba was built their lives drastically changed as they had to be relocated to other parts of Zimbabwe but still they held fast to their way of life.

It is this fascinating story of the Binga based people that Jah Prayzah successfully attempted to tell in song and video.

The song ‘Dzamutsana’ is as rich as the culture it is portraying. Rich also is the hand and eye of Video Director Vusa Blaqs whose craft is surging in popularity and artistic quality.

They say simplicity is the ultimate sophistication; the majority of the video stay zoomed in the homestead of a Binga family.

Simple and elegant, it captured the emotion of Jah Prayzah as he plays the part of a hopeless romantic.

With his loins burning with a desire to land one of the hotties in the Tonga village, Jah Prayzah had to contend with the girl’s fiery father played by Elijah Madzikatire, who could not have any of it.

The lyrics to the song are a tear-jerker, especially when his ‘Mum’ encourages him to accept that he won’t be able to win the heart of the girl.

It evokes a heart-warming sad nostalgia for we all have been there, hoping against hope in the name of love.

Dzamutsana is Jah Prayzah in his golden state. Rich and Poetic.

We shall not spoil it for you..Watch the video Below.

Misred hosts First Annual Pink Picnic – #ByondOctober

The month of October is a special month with regards to the women in our lives and the battle that is being fought against the monster that is breast cancer.

Clad in pink in a bid to raise more awareness, access to screening equipment, solidarity amongst survivors and preserving the memories of those who lost their lives to breast cancer;

Women and men around the world are uniting together, to produce creative and engaging campaigns in their joint fight against breast cancer.

It is in this line of thinking that MisRed took it upon herself to do something within her sphere of influence for this fight against breast cancer.

This past weekend, MisRed hosted her first Annual Pink Picnic for Breast Cancer Awareness, with the focus to extend the conversation around breast cancer #BeyondOctober.

Amongst the attendees were leading women from various sectors of industry and more importantly, sufferers of breast cancer, survivors and those who have lost loved ones to this ailment.

Whilst October is the official breast cancer awareness month, MisRed believes that the conversation should continue past the month of October.

Not only conversations but initiatives and measures to do with availing screening equipment and educating women should not only be limited to the month of October hence the running hashtag for her campaign – #BeyondOctober.

Guests at MisRed’s Picnic Pink

Amongst the guests who attended were Dr Tendai Chaibva-Mabiza a 29yr old female doctor who part owns Chisipite Medical and Dental and keynote speaker Rutendo Karikoga a Breast and Ovarian Cancer Survivor who travelled all the way from Italy to come share her story.

Food World, Davies Events, Jungle Entertainment Ventures, and her management company, KOSHA Management, came together with MisRed as her key corporate partners, ensuring a successful and smooth running Picnic experience.

With #BeyondOctober taking centre stage, MisRed intends on making this an empowering event from which people leave with goals and targets for themselves.

Above all, it is action that speaks the loudest and this is what she wants everyone to walk away with, a plan of action against this omnipresent ailment.

The song speaks on a
carefree romance and a Bonnie & Clyde type of love.

A careless in a love-themed music video was shot in the cultured streets of Soweto.

WWE Women’s Revolution as Evolution Hots Up – Live on DStv

Television history will be made soon with the first WWE pay-per-view event exclusively featuring women wrestling superstars, to be captured for local viewers by SuperSport.

Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said the WWE Evolution would take place in New York in the early hours (Zimbabwean time) of Monday October 29, with all four women’s championship belts on the line and thousands of thrills laid on.

“The action will be broadcast live on SuperSport 8 at 1am and repeated that evening on SuperSport 9 at 7pm, for people who do not want to make the early start,” she said.

“One of the bouts drawing major attention will pit Raw women’s champion Ronda Rousey in a defence against Nikki Bella, who is threatening a ‘Bellalution’ of major proportions.”

Even though the Bella twins earned back-to-back victories over The Riott Squad alongside ‘the baddest woman on the planet’ Nikki and Brie grew tired of sharing the spotlight with her, ambushing their supposed ally after their victory on the early October edition of Raw.

With the battle lines drawn, fearless Nikki — with Brie almost assuredly in her corner — now looks to cool off Hot Ronda at WWE’s major women’s event.

Will the ultra-confident Nikki Bella take down The Rowdy One, or will she be forced to submit to Rousey’s notoriously deadly Armbar?

Also on the card, SmackDown women’s champion Becky Lynch defends against Charlotte Flair in a last woman standing match.

For the past few weeks, the question has been whether Lynch or Flair is the better woman.

At WWE Evolution, the fate of the SmackDown women’s championship will come down to a far simpler matter: whichever one is left standing.

The “Irish Lass Kicker” and the Flair heiress will do battle in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match at the historic event.

In addition to the ever-escalating hostilities between Flair and Lynch, their title bouts at WWE Super ShowDown and the subsequent SmackDown Live ended in indecisive fashion.

Flair won the first when Lynch had herself intentionally disqualified, and the second ended in a double-count-out brawl.

Flair got the last word in that confrontation by spearing Lynch through the LED board at the top of the ramp, but reclaiming the blue jewel of SmackDown Live won’t be so simple.

A Last Woman Standing match can’t be won with a pinfall or submission; victory can only be attained by inflicting so much punishment on your opponent that they are unable to get to their feet before the count of 10.

Flair should know better than anyone that Lynch has proven very difficult to keep down.

Other match-ups:

• Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs Trish Stratus and Lita.

• NXT women’s champion Kairi Sane defending against Shayna Baszler.

• The finals of the Mae Young Classic.

• Battle royal for a future title shot (Ember Moon, Nia Jax, Tamina, Dana Brooke, Alicia Fox, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Asuka, Carmella, Naomi, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Lana, Torrie Wilson, Alundra Blayze, Ivory, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, and Maria Kanellis announced thus far).

• Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya vs The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan).

Details of broadcast: live pre-show on Monday October 29 at 12.30am on SS8, with the main show at 1am;

repeat 1 will feature the pre-show on Monday October 29 at 6.30pm on SS9 and the main show at 7pm.

Repeat 2 will feature the pre-show on Friday November 2 at 12.30pm on SS9 and the main show at 1pm.

Ammartia world is indeed buzzed up for songbird Ammara Brown’s yet to be released video “Svoto” featuring Mr Eazie.

“Svoto” came out and was accompanied by viral dance videos from a variety of fans as it caused mayhem on social media platforms.

In a Facebook live video, she highlights of bad and good news as she explains why the video could not be released Monday 22 October.

She says that Trace Africa and Trace Urban will officially do the world premiere of the masterpiece on their music video platforms respectively.

“Trace Africa emailed my management to confirm and extend their gratitude by doing the official premiere on the 30th of this month,” she said.

Allegations of her dating Exq were rubbished, “I look up to him as my brother and he is happily married to his wife whom I respect because she is in good hands (i know) the Bhachura scene raised eyebrows of many”, she chuckles.
