Zimbabwe has become a second home to some of the top artists from South Africa over the past few years, but just how much does it cost to book these artists for a show.
Here are the figures according to Sunday World:
Kelly Khumalo, Ifani and Chomee
Hugh Masekela – R280 000 Donald – R35 000 Nathi – R50 000 to R140 000 Cassper Nyovest -R120 000 K.O –Â R70 000 Zahara from R100 000 Kelly Khumalo / Chomee from R35 000 for indoor events
However the report says fees revealed are not final and are subject to terms and conditions such as indoor or outdoor event, number of people attending, the capacity of the venue, travel fees, accommodation, duration of performance and more.
It’s awards season and we are very excited..we cant wait for the 25th of February to see what our favourite celebrities will come wearing. The last time we had ZIMA Awards the bar was very high in terms of red carpet settings.
Celebrities and nominees were ferried in a hammer limousine to the red carpet and had their fans waiting and cheering them on as they stepped to the venue.
We have been promised the same Hollywood-kinda standard again this year, In fact, the organisers are promising an even better event.
Here are some of the looks from ZIMA 2014 as captured by Tnash Photography.

The later half of 2015 definitely belonged to dancehall chanter Dobba Don with his hit track Mudendere which sits on a very infectious beat made by Oskid, now he has released a video to the track.
The video which aptly depicts the lyrics in the song features fellow dancehall star Soul Jah Love and a whole lot of crew from the famous Chill Spot family.
Talking about everyday struggles and harsh realities in the ghettos of Zimbabwe, the director Simba Gee of Eastern Eye Media Production went for simple but very engaging shots.
Rapper Jnr Brown has explained the meaning behind his Tongogara symbol which has a lot of people talking.
Responding to a question from @rufaro_et on his Twitter Account the rapper said:
“The hammer (T) is for the hard working people in the factories.”
“The sickle is for the farmers in the field.”
A screen shot of Jnr Brown’s explanation.
The track, which was named after the late former ZANLA Commander Josiah Magama Tongogara, is being marketed alongside the symbol which is almost identical to that of the Communist Party of China.
Zim Hip Hop Awards founder Aldrian ‘Beefy’ Harrison is now a proud dad to daughter Gabriella Harrison.
Gabriella safely arrived on the 28th of January at the Avenues clinic in Harare.
Hid dad being a fun-loving party guy hopes she will join him in expanding his entertainment empire.
“When she is grown she may not be directly involved in the entertainment industry but I have no doubt she will have something to contribute to her father’s empire and the entertainment industry as a whole,” he told Zimbuzz.
Beefy and heavily pregnant wife Jessica Dikinya at last year’s Zim Hip Hop Awards in December
Beefy’s empire is Hip Hop, so it is our hope and expectation to see young Gab throwing a rap bar or two.
He seems to have settled down significantly since the arrival of his lovely daughter and has been missing in action for some time now.
He sort of explain why:
“Being a dad changes you because you have responsibilities and people who depend on you.”
“It also makes you appreciate life and especially that of your wife.”
Here is the link to Hope Masike’s award winning video, Huyai Tinamate, the video was directed by Charles Mawungwa and recently won the Outstanding Video of the Year at the NAMA awards.
Here is the full list of the Zimbabwe Music Awards nominees in full, the first part was released in November 2015 and excluded the Song of the Year and Media Awards categories.
Remember the event takes place on the 25th of February at the HICC in Harare.

“If it’s true that he was attacked why didn’t he make a Police report,” he quizzed.
Zimbuzz also posed the same question to Calvin and he said:
“No I ddnt because that’s not what I wish for him or anyone in the culture of Hip Hop, its bad for business having a police record, all I want is to see the culture moving forward not backwards.”
Calvin scoffed at the news that Jnr Brown was denying the alleged attack.

Meanwhile, on Friday Calvin had an interview on The Fixx on ZiFm where he said that he had no beef with Jnr Brown.
In the interview, he also said he was willing to work with his rival to further the Hip Hop movement.
He revealed that he had sent Jnr Brown a message asking him why he was disrespecting his winning of the Song of the Year at the Zim Hip Hop Awards in December.
However the Show host MC Chita maintained that Calvin was reacting to an imaginary attack since Jnr Brown never directly mentioned his name in his alleged diss track.
