See How Ammara Brown Ignited Harare at the Ammartian Concert

On a cool breezed Saturday night all roads led to Glamis Arena for the special night Ammara Brown had set aside for all the Ammartians, dubbed Ammartia Ignite which featured Mr Eazie.

Performance buffet with a number of top-shelf artists such as beautiful Tammy Moyo,Takura, Exq who performed fairly well although most struggled with a live band.

Winky D came onto the stage with an energetic performance igniting fans into ecstasy

He took very good advantage of his energetic live band passing the jukebox to Ammara Brown who was in her stunning black costume and looked comfortable on the stage with her well-choreographed dance moves.

VIP section was almost full to capacity but they were kept on their feet just like the students who forked out $5 as she belted hit after hit.

She gave a touching tribute to her father with the closing statement “Long live Andy Brown”.

Fans could not resist such an outstanding performance and it was a stiff bar set by Zimbabwean artists before guest “Mr Eazie”.

He jumped on stage with his popular statement “Zagga Dat”, and as expected fans went wild as he threw away his handmade palm hat.

Hilarious Pic of Kim Jayde as she got starstruck interviewing Tyler Perry

When celebrities are starstruck by other celebrities the sight is one to cherish, after all, we all have our heroes.

MTV presenter Kim Jayde totally lost her cool when she got the opportunity to interview Tyler Perry at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg yesterday.

She went emotionally kryptonite and our suspicion is that she finally met her teenage crush!

The Zimbabwean beau couldn’t contain herself in the presence of the man. We can’t fault her, Tyler Perry is a great inspiration to many.

He is a world-renowned producer, director, actor, screenwriter, playwright, author, songwriter, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

Kim shared the picture on her Instagram and captioned it ‘My Face says it all’

All the Outfits Beyonce Wore at the Global Citizen 2018 Festival

On 2 December 2018, Global Citizen brought together its largest contingency of heads of state, dignitaries, a group of the world’s most talented artists and influencers, and thousands of global citizens to celebrate the centenary of Nelson Mandela.

But the night’s most anticipated appearance came from Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who brought their On the Run II show to Johannesburg while paying tribute to Nelson “Mandiba” Mandela.

The couple took the stage shortly after Oprah delivered a powerful keynote address recognizing the legacy of the late South African president and anti-apartheid leader.

After the crowd impatiently chanted “Beyoncé” for several minutes, the couple emerged in stunning new costumes and opened with a soul-stirring rendition of Jay-Z’s hit song, “Holy Grail.

Adjudication of Nominees

Star FM Zimbabwe has selected two music adjudication panels whose identity will not be revealed to preserve the integrity of the awards.

An open call for entries will be made on radio for musicians who have had their music played on Star FM radio from the 1st of January 2018 to the 9th of December 2018 to visit the Star FM Music Awards website www.starfmmusicawards.co.zw and fill in the entry forms online.

The Musicians do not have to send in their music as Star FM already has the songs in its possession. Once the Call for Entries closes on the 9th of December 2018, the Star FM panel will seat for the adjudication process being managed by our auditors Baker, Tilly and Gwatidzo.

The panel of 7 will listen to all the entries according to the various categories they are being nominated for.

Each entry will see the panel fill out individual assessment forms which they will grade each song up for nomination. They will immediately submit the forms to the auditor who will in a secure office verify and tally the entries.

The top three entries per category will go through and be announced as the nominees vying for the awards. These nominees will only be revealed on the day of the Nominees Announcement which will be streamed live on Facebook.

The second adjudication panel will then sit and listen to the music of the top three nominees per category.

Each will fill out an assessment form which they will grade. And they will immediately hand these over to the auditors. Once again the auditors will go to a secure facility to tally the votes and come up with the list of the winners.

The People’s Choice Award

This is not adjudicated by the adjudication panel. The People’s Choice Award will see audiences voting via the Star FM Music Awards website to vote for their favourite artist. The auditors will monitor the tally to select a winner.

The Lifetime Achievement Awards

These will be selected by the Board and senior management of Star FM Zimbabwe at their discretion. The rules and regulations of the adjudication process will be available on the website for clarity and transparency.

Rachel J Announces Makwikwi Remix Treatment

Rachel J is about to take the soul of the melo tune ‘Makwikwi’ and flip it upside down to give it a whole new dance floor vibe.

A little bird whispered into our ears that the song is likely to contain more than two artists and will have a dancehall mark.

Fans are likely to get the remix treatment as early as next week although we are not yet sure the song will come with a video. All the same, we can’t wait for it.

The original Makwikwi was produced by Oskid and the visuals were done by Simba Gee and it was new and exciting and we all wanted a piece of it!

We are looking forward to the remix giving the listeners, in the club, in the car, or at home, something new, something different.

While we wait for the remix, here is a reminder of how the original sounds like

Tekere Adds Flames To The Tamy-Coaster

Nothing is as colourful as Tamy on Andy Cutta’s video production- Tekere video has confirmed.

The 21-year-old Zimbabwean pop diva Thursday afternoon released the Tekere video to add to her classic castle.

Colours, beauty and pop dance moves jump starts Tekere a world-class video directed by Andy Cutta.

It seems Tamy never fail to serve flames to her fans whom she tagged the Tamy-Coaster.

Apart from a good soundtrack it now takes a video concept to rate an artist and that is what she is building on.

Tamy has proven to be a natural all-rounder in the music industry as her visual concepts leave one wanting more or hit the playback button.

Speaking of Tekere the video can be undoubtedly ranked in the same bracket of Cardi B, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

This is as far as one can go being world-class! And it only features three ladies including Tamy.

The trio simplified the complexity of Andy Cutta’s angles.

Oh! And there are also a few men in the video but inform of mannequins.

The Mannequins are most distinctive on a scene when Tamy seats on a couch in a black tight outfit matching the masculine symbols.

No doubt Tekere is not a top contender for the top spot in the Coca-Cola Top 50 videos of the year.

How to watch Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury: TV channel & Time

Many of the world’s best boxers reside in the lower weight divisions, but there’s something extra-special when the big men limber up.

In this case Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, who do battle in Los Angeles this weekend (SuperSport 1, from 4am Sunday).

Anyone who weighs over 100kg can do lasting damage with a single punch, although this is especially true of Wilder, who is statistically the heaviest puncher in heavyweight boxing history.

With 39 KOs in 40 fights, the American knows how to short circuit his opponents.

He may be crude and unorthodox, but he has a savage instinct for hitting hard and will have every ambition of separating Fury from his senses.

Fury, in turn, is all legs and arms, a human threshing machine who is both big and seriously difficult to land against.

With the longest jab in the business, he can frustrate opponents and mess with their defences.

The build-up has been typically loud and brash, which is to be expected from a pair of fighters who have never tasted defeat in a professional ring.

“It’s important to establish dominance,” said Wilder. “I say I’m the best, the baddest man on the planet. When it comes to Tyson Fury, I’m all about devastating knock-outs, it’s what I do.”

Fury, no shrinking violet, hit back: “I am no challenger for no man. I’m the linear heavyweight champion of the world, the best of the best.”

Wilder probably doesn’t have the skill-set to outbox Fury, but his power makes him dangerous for every second of every round.

The WBC champion is shortest in price to win the fight during rounds 5-8.

Fury will likely aim to dominate over 12 rounds, but the Wilder equaliser might see him pulling out big shots of his own down the stretch.

Whatever happens, it’s not likely to be unexciting.

The televised undercard, which starts at 4am (CAT), includes several top fighters:

Jarrett Hurd (22-0, 15 KOs) vs Jason Welborn (24-6, 7 KOs), IBF/WBA super-welterweight bout;
Luis Ortiz (29-1, 25 KOs) vs Travis Kauffman (32-2, 23 KOs),

10-rd heavyweight bout;
Joe Joyce (6-0, 6 KOs) vs Joe Hanks (23-2, 15 KOs), 10-rd heavyweight bout.

Khanyi Mbau launches own ‘Booze’and it has a cool name

Gin has become the ‘in’ drink to imbibe these days, especially now as we head into the festive season.

If you’re a gin lover and fan of Khanyi Mbau, you will be pleased to hear that as of the 1st of December she is launching her own brand of gin.

The actress and socialite unexpectedly ventured into the alcoholic beverages market

It’s a pink gin in a beautiful bottle and it’s called, I AM Khanyi.

Yes, a tad self-indulgent, but then she is Khanyi Mbau and flagrant self-promotion is the name of the game in the entertainment industry these days.

The Scoop presenter has been taking to her Instagram account sharing a series of snaps and a promotional video for her “millennial shimmer gin”.

So, where can you get a bottle and how much will it cost you?

Khanyi Mbau poses in a promo for her gin

As mentioned, it will be available from 1 December across South Africa throughout various liquor stores and a 750ml bottle will set you back anything between R389 and R399.

Not the cheapest drink on the market but so worth it, according to Khanyi.
